Since prices go down over time, then while IPS panels are still insanely expensive compared to cheaper ones, they're better than they were - eventually, they should be commonplace. The same is already starting to happen for 3D TVs.

Off topic, but I just looked up the price of the Avatar 3D bluray and **** bricks.

That's because you can only buy it with a Panasonic 3D TV/BD Player system.

So any BD's alone for sale are copies that people have got with the exclusive bundle and then are re-selling solo.
