Default Beach Trip

So, I was looking on the hotel information getting ready to book and saw that the hotel is a mile from Manhattan beach. Being a native Floridian this got me thinking. Any chance we could arrange a beach trip? I know the schedule might be tight for time, but it could be pretty fun. Heck bet there are some good paddle boards rentals in and around the area as well, which could also be fun.

So...TLDR-Clan/Meetup beach trip?

Yasu said we were gonna do that.

I don't know when it is happening, though.

We're still looking at schedules, but hitting the beach is definitely something we're looking to have time for. Totally not official or anything, but Friday is looking likely for that.

We have to schedule in all the events that include partners (like Lightstorm & Karyu Pawl) before the more flexible events like a beach trip.

Just thought I'd pitch it. We're in a pretty good location for a beach trip and closing in on the event (sub two months woooo) so...yeah.

I will be unhappy if the beach we select is completely crowded with people.

We should try to find a more secluded one.

That'll probably be tough without a short drive.

I know.

I just want a few rocks to play with and less humans.

Hopefully it's not too much to ask for..... OmO

There is a regular bus service from the hotels to Manhattan Beach called the Ocean Express. I think it is $5 for a return trip. Although it is not idea for groups, it might be an option for folks who want to go for a paddle! Here's a couple of links:
