I'm sure a lot of (if not all) you have seen the film 'Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy'. It's indeed a great film with lots of laughs, but I want to bring up the novel(s). All-in-all it is 5 separate novels and I bought a version with them bound into one publication.
I recently got into reading the book and have to say it's just as if not better than the film. It's such a great read in the fact that there have been multiple occasions of nearly crying from laughter. I hope someone else has read it, if not, I highly recommend it. Wiki Link |

My favourite version of H2G2 is not the radio series, the book[s] or even the Infocom text adventure but the LP. It's not commercially available these days owing to a rights issue but if you hunt around the internet you can find it here and there. It's a sort of re-recording of the radio series but with a plot that is much closer to the book.
