Advent, human culture is not Na'vi culture.

Nakedness is not a taboo among the Na'vi.
The fact that going without clothes is fine there, is a beautiful message - our "fear" of being naked is just ridiculous. The only reason we find nudity awkward is because people have told us so. The human body is a beautiful thing - a wonder of Nature.

It's something that should be respected and looked upon - not hidden. Avatar shows us this - and it's a message to think about indeed.

The Na'vi may not wear much, but they wear clothes for a reason. Just because someone may not care about nudity, does that really mean you can exploit pictures of them?

I make one comment, and I get all this in return. Yeah, okay. Any part of the body is all Neytiri, just like anyone else. But do you have to post all of this? Sorry to break it to you, but you aren't Na'vi. You were raised with human ideals and manners.

I just find it horrible that you can post these pictures without a care in the world. Jake looks at Neytiri's face, not bellow her necklace. He respects her. That's the difference.

I'm not ashamed of my body at all. I'm rather proud of it.

But I want to be a normal member of society. I don't find it acceptable to take a movie as an opportunity to hate the things we were brought up with. I completely respect your views. But I don't find it acceptable personally to look at a persons private parts.

The Na'vi don't cover up, because they don't see it as a necessity. That's the only reason.

You don't get my point, Eltu. I like this thread. That's the reason I'm posting on it.

I just find it very insulting and rude not to listen to a person even after they've made a complaint about it. I was insulted by such actions, and felt the need to give my point.

Believe me, that is definitely not something I want to see after a bad day at school. I find it ironic that some call themselves better than humans, and then they put themselves back.
