Pretty sure this has been discussed elsewhere, but oh well, here's a new thread:

Not bad. Apparently they will be able to try again with another route, but hopefully that means even that will be a less disruptive one considering the fact that this one got denied.

Never thought I'd be saying this to Obama, but in the words of Tim and Eric...
...Great Job!

It sort of is: if the pipeline was to rupture around any source of drinking water, the water would taste as bad as Keystone!

There are many in Washington DC that will hammer Obama HARD on the loss of the one hundred thousand new jobs that will not be created. We, as a Country need to walk a fine line. If we fall off to the one side, we will declare war on the ecology of the planet, and if we fall off to the other side, the social costs could be staggering.
I wish that I could have found the corporate backing for my solar powered blimp that I wanted to fly around the world without burning a single drop of fuel back in 1987. That might have started to change attitudes about fuel choices back then. Billy Henderson, the then Executive Director of the Sun-N-Fun Fly in, thought it was a great idea, but we could not stir up ANY backing at all. It didn't shock me, only a year earlier, the third attempt on my life was made over an engine design that I invented, for an engine that only had fourteen parts, seven that moved, that would NOT break, (we tried), and did not burn a Hydrocarbon fuel. |
