I guess what I'm asking is... What does kame mean to you? I've sat in bed for hours wondering how to answer this, and the truth is, I may never come up with a true answer, nor am I qualified to.

I'm probably going to sound foolish, but what is kame? Is it Na'vi?

To me, seeing is truly understanding something. Having the knowlege and understanding of something due to experiencing it. You cannot SEE if someone explains it to you, if you read about it, hear about it, you must see, hear, and feels the effects it has on you to truly see.

For example, I can say "Avatar was an awesome movie, a masterpiece, a life changing experience." I am expressing how deeply I was affected by it in words, but words do not do it justice. If I say these words to people, everyone will relate them to how they daw it. Some people will react by saying "It was a cool movie." Others by "The CGI was amazing." And if I'm lucky, there might be someone who was affected the same way I was, who truly did SEE, and no words are needed to explain it. We have both experienced it the same way, the emotional level, I'll go as far as to say the spiritual level, and words could never fully express the deepness of that effect. You have to experience it yourself, you have to SEE on your own.

Avatar has changed my viewpoint, but I just can't help but feel that I'm still missing something, something very important to the big picture.

I would say that to 'see' is to underdstand someone soul-to-soul. A human phrase might be 'to be on the same wavelength as...'

For first, Kaltxì again everyone, hope you're all well, guess I was gone for a while with projects and college stuff which kinda occupied my free-time and all the time this way I only logged in to read not having much time to post, but I'm back.

Well, I can say Avatar moves your way to see things to another, just the way you switch gears at a car... you go faster and faster or slower. In this case my perspective enlarged and I put in discussion Avatar everytime someone is trying to say something against me (in my domains). I guess it's a role model to all of us who don't like the world we live in no more. And the next Avatar should make people "see" the water needs to be clean not cause it needs to, but it brings bad quality for drinkable water for humanity and so for fauna or flora.
A week ago I participated at a manifestation in my hometown where people made an initiative against water pollution. I had to put up a speech too, so it sounded like this : "If they don't care about water it means they don't care about their own lifes, 'cause they drink the same water as we do, they flush the water as everyone does, and when this happens, all the inpurities go down on the course of a river and an animal drinks it. Is that what we want ?" and people shouted "No!". Anyway... I hope it wasn't an useless initiative, I did what I had to do... to protect Gaia, our Eywa, even through a speech and the way I see and feel things.

When the Na'vi say Oel Ngati Kameie, as Norm said "It's not just I'm seeing you in front of me, it's I see into your soul" For me it means to understand someone, and is also used as a greeting as well... I've been watching what I say lately when I use the word see haha

There's so much I See now... I realise what the problems are with the world, with everything around me. I don't want to spend my life working, all for nothing. I want to be free. I want to find my Neytiri, someone who Sees and can See me...

It does really make you recognize the futility of it all. Of course, 90% of the sheeple out there would call you or me extremely jaded or even nihilist. It's really ironic, isn't it?

Exactly how I feel. Money and popularity isn't what I want anymore. I want to change the sick ways people treat the planet and life in general. I want to just be free and feel all life is meant to be. Meeting my soulmate like Neytiri, like you said and just enjoying life is all I want anymore.

With a question like this there is hope for you. I've been trying to "see" better for nearly 40 years. I can see a little. I will always strive to be able to see more than I do today. I think of it as two parts. The first and in many ways usually the easier part is seeing into peoples hearts. The second is perceiving the world around them and this is a pretty tough one. I've been the presence of some who could do this much better than I have ever been able to and I still don't know how they do it.

As far as I'm concerned if someone came up to me and told me that they can see as well as the Na'vi I would tell them "show me." If they couldn't I'd tell them that they are either lying, or deluding themselves. Your question indicates to me that you can see to some degree or you wold never have asked.
