Figured we should make another copy here.

Just give me some ideas and I'll try and help them out. Maybe people reading might even get some good ideas that'll help.

Thanks
Here's what I do/Plan on doing
- Lucid dream
- Plant a garden (I'm going to plant some exotic plants [inside of course, they wouldn't last outside up here LOL])
- Get an aquarium
- Learn Na'vi
- Get out into nature as much as you possibly can
- Avoid processed foods/stuff Na'vi wouldn't eat
- Learn astronomy - find out what real earth-like-planets are out there!

Ideas....hmmmm...For me going outside to a secluded place and laying around or walking around and enjoying the world, the beauty of the earth without all the interuptions of planes, cars, construction, and listening to the sounds of nature. Very relaxing IMO

I like doing that, but it's not so easy to do unfortunately.
I listen to the soundtrack a lot.
I really should get the Avatar game too as something for me to play during the wait for the DVD release.
I have also made several posters of Neytiri using posterazor and put them up in my room, which always helps with I'm feeling lonely and in love with Neytiri.

I just installed some super-sweet LED lights for my desk here, and you could swear the desk came straight out of the Biolab! They make a very scientific cool white light - I'm almost tempted to put a loop of brain scans on my second monitor to add to the atmosphere

After Avatar now I know what the Earth can give us... now I <3 Nature, and try not to use artificial or contaminating things when I can use what Eywa provides

Lucid dreaming is a good idea too, I've been meaning to learn it for a while, but last night I managed to accidentally have a part lucid dream which I turned to Pandora as soon as I realised , I really need to get round to learning

It wasn't that amazing, I just suddenly realised 'hmm, I'm dreaming. Wonder if I can...', then it turned into Pandora for a while, then I started to wake up. That was not so nice, desperately trying to stay asleep, then failing
Probably nothing like a real lucid dream, but it was nice for a while.

Uhh, that's how lots of lucid dreams go... until you become very proficient at it. I lost my motivation to continue after a frustrating battle with "false waking".

False waking is where you *think* you have awoken but really it's your brain trying to put you back in subconscious dream state. Very difficult to overcome for some people.

That could be what happened to you. To avoid this, do a reality check. Look at a digital clock, then away, then back again. If you are dreaming the time will change. If you are awake, well, obviously it won't. It will work with text as well. Look at a newspaper, then look away, then back again... it will change if you are dreaming.

If you are lucid dreaming and find your focus beginning to dissolve, you can stare at your hands, and that often helps refocus. I have done this several times (but when I looked away from my hands I false awakened D:

I wish I could do lucid dreaming. I'm lucky to ever even remember a dream.

Recently I've come to the realization that is a manifestation of existential depression. It's the hardest kind to overcome. The accepted methods of drugging don't work at all. I've had it for a large part of my life. It's a common problem for those that get to a higher level of awareness.

I like to get out to the world. I was here yesterday. This really helps me cope.

And looking the other way from the same spot.

I go to places like that or better about every week.

I'm in Santa Clarita California. It's on the very northern fringe of the Los Angeles area. I'm a few hundred yards (meters) from the Angeles National forest. That photo is from the extreme southern edge of the Sierra nevada at about 6500 feet (2000 meters). One is a photo to the north west and the other is looking almost south over the Mojave desert.

I was hoping for wild flowers, but they are still not out yet.

txen is Na'vi for awake. That's what Avatar did for me.

That's nice... I wish there was anything like that around here. Where I live, I can't even see the stars most nights, makes me so depressed if I'm out at night

It's not accident where I live. I'm here on purpose. That is another benefit of getting the heck out of the city. It's quiet and I can see a lot of stars.

Kind of off topic, but here is a kind of funny story. Back in January 1994 there was a moderate earthquake known as the Northridge quake in the Los Angleles area. It struck at about 4 am. It was large enough that the power went out over large areas of the city. Many 911 calls were placed concerning lights in the sky. They were the stars.
