Default Hope for Earth

Because the battle for this planet is not lost yet. We need hope, hope for the change and a better future; hope for our sons, hope for our brothers.

Because this generation will be ruling the world in 20 years.

Post the things that make you still believe in Earth. A place, a song, a picture, a quote.

My place, my song, my picture, the oldest deputy of the Spanish Congress of 1981, trying to stop the coup d'Etat the military made; and that would eventually fail.

My quote: "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall" - Nelson Mandela

I've always known Nelson Mandela as a really inspiring person. That place looks great Zenit , I really liked the song, we also had in Chile a coup d'etat back in 1973, however nobody could stop it and sadly, many people died and the country almost crashes ...

My Place

My Song

My Picture , this picture was taken on February 27th, after the earthquake and the tsunami hit the southern cities, you can see that person holding the Chilean flag, he never gave up ...

Quote: "Hope is the last thing you lose" (Honestly I've heard that quote coming from many people so I wouldn't know who said it first)

This is a great thread. Thanks for starting this Zenit.

My Place.

My Song You might have to read the lyrics to understand the words but I think its worth it. Lyrics

My Picture. This picture really gets to me because it shows how humanity can be so strong and still have hope when so much has been lost. Much like the picture of the man holding the flag from Chile. A little off topic but has anyone seen the movie "Legion" where God loses faith in humanity and tries to kill the strong with the weak. But the ark-angel Michael helps the people because he sees the good in humans when they can carry on when there is no hope and be strong when terrible forces battle around them. I see so much of this everywhere and it gives me hope for people as a whole.

Edit: Forgot my quote.

"What we do in life, echoes in eternity." From the movie Gladiator.

Go human race!

My Place

My Song

My Picture, taken on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission. Everytime I see the "When We Left Earth" piece about it, I can't help but shed a tear. It's amazing the things we can accomplish, isn't it? If we have the ability to put men on the moon, we have the ability to fix the Earth.

Quote: "There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path" - Morpheus, the Matrix. The people on this forum know the path, we can See, now it's just a matter of walking it.

"Man, I see in fight club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off." - Tyler Durden

Really, really great thread idea Zenit.

A place.

A song.

A picture. - No explaination should really be needed for this photograph. There is such strength and defiance in that lone man, an ordinary person, in an extraordinary position. It is the ultimate strength and hope giving image for me.

A quote - "Without radiance of beauty, what is a man's soul?"
