I was busy with other aspects of my life when the movie was being advertised and released. I never saw the trailer until just now!
There are some pieces of dialogue that obviously never made it into the movie which I really, really hope make it into the re-release next month. If I had seen that trailer before the movie came out I would have been a helluva lot more interested in the movie! It's a great movie but I think (like in the Abyss) the little stuff that they took out would give the movie a lot more depth and better received by more people. I know a lot of you saw the trailer and were amped up about it and have followed it along to this point. Is there anyone else out there that are in my situation of coming in later and feel the way I do? (I'm going to be making a post to this point... )

You need to go check it out because it has some stuff that wasn't in the movie. Gives a whole new depth to the story. Of course, like most trailers they put it together for impact so (we know now) that the sequence of some scenes isn't in order but it is still cool!

Well, you don't need the trailer to see the message.

I saw the trailer before I went to see avatar, and to be completely honest, it never sparked my interest. I don't really know why, however, but it never made me want to go and see it. I only ended up going because of word of mouth from various family members, saying "it's brilliant and enchanting" etc.
(Luckily enough ![]() However, now when I go back to watch it...I get chills. I guess it's just because of the connection I now have with the movie, the plotline, the characters etc.

The trailer gave me a whole new eye when saw The Island again. I just thought it was an escape story.

The Island? An escape story? Naah
It's a movie with a huge message too, which touches the problems of clonning.

I only did once before Avatar, and many times after. Really, I only saw Avatar in the first place because I happened to have an evening and some money and not know what to do, lol

I only saw a poster of some kind, and I didn't know what it was about. I only knew the director and that it was going to be a sci-fi of sorts, and that combination was more than convincing for me.
Later on, I've only seen parts of the trailer(I think), in the making of documentaries, but I don't think I've ever actually seen the complete trailer. |

Well, it does discussed the issue of clonning, but the movie's IMDB score is low(6.9), probably it's because Michael Bay's directing.

Yeah I did see the trailer but back in December I was kind of lazy and didn't like going to the movies. Then in April when Avatar released in Blu-ray I saw it for the first time.
Random thought...the main menu is pretty cool for the DVD. It shows everything awesome about Pandora and the Na'vi in a short minute or two.
