Default The "Sex Scene" (Spiloer!)

I personly thought that the so called "sex scene" would as it is: Just the connection of queues and emotional response to the feeling of being connected. I'm glade that alot of lustful people out there now are disapionted that it wasn't what they thought would be blue porn. That scene wasn't erotic at all to me... But that doesn't mean It's not one of my favorite scenes. To me, Love scenes that are emotionaly beautiful are way better than lustful erotic sexual scenes. And that scene was very emotional and beautiful.

It wasn't nearly as awkward as I thought it might be (as indicated in the trailers). Quite a beautiful enhancement to it overall... But something wasn't right.

Same with every scene or extended material that was added (except maybe the hunt scene, which I loved); it seemed like they were all out of place; like they didn't keep with the pace of the film. Even the death of Tsu'tey looked... wrong. I mean, I'm not against the scene, but the placement looked quite awkward, and even the cut to where everyone was boarding the shuttle looked strange. I could see why most of the deleted material was deleted. Most of it looked awkward, a lot of it seemed out of place, and some of it just didn't belong in the film.

^My opinion.

It was what I expected...

...which makes it one of the best, most beautiful, depressing parts of the whole film... how much I wish I was there

Probably my favourite part of the rerelease.

Perhaps the scenes felt odd and out of place becuase it was your first time seeing them and you knew they were not originally part of the flim?

I know for a fact that when I first saw Avatar, I felt some of the scenes were out of place and strange, like the mating scene, though that changed quickly after watching it a few more times.

I agree though, the additional footage added to the mating scene wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. I don't feel it added anything, though it was nice to see how they "do it".

That's what I'm figuring. I'll just brainwash myself into liking them anyway. ...Except maybe the Tsu'tey death scene.

The mating scene also looked a bit out of place to me too, first time. But I came to like it because it didn't chop into the ending all too much, and was really a needed scene to understand the love between Jake and Neytiri.

The death of Tsu'tey scene, however... looked the most wrong to me. I mean, put everything in. Keep all the deleted scenes in, add another 17 minutes; I don't care. But the Tsu'tey death scene just didn't look right to me, and (for me) takes away a lot of the pace from the "I see you" scene, which was a perfect ending point for the whole war they just had.

I would prefer if I could watch the whole film with all the deleted scenes, except the death scene with Tsu'tey. For me, it really took the emotion away from the "I see you" scene.

Hehe, this is reeeaaally off-topic; maybe I should just make a separate topic just about this scene.

The love scene was beautifully done and didn't feel awkward, one of the best parts in the whole film.

I felt no sign of awkwardness, it felt so beautiful, just the way they reacted when they connect their queues to another Na'vi for the first time got me high on euphoria... very high

The ultimate intimacy

I didn't feel any awkwardness either... but then again, I did feel that every deleted scene fit into the film well.

I was excited about the deleted scenes, becuase I was unsure of what they would put in. I knew about the school scene, but the hunting scene was pure awesome nailbiting fun. And the additional mate scene... indescribable

That's what I'm thinking about the added footage, it takes some getting used to because you seen the oridinal so many times.

So porn lovers across the world payed $10 + for that?
Well, at least it wasn't awkward.

Question: I wonder if Jake was thinking dirty when they made the bond?

Please don't say things like that because I try to keep things as clean as possable in my threads.

The emotion in the scene mating scene was why I say Naytiri is beautiful not hot. There is a major difference between Love and lust.
