Default Woah Just Thought

After the whole "I See you" scene at the end, how does Jake get back in his Avatar body? Because they obviously couldn't go to Hells Gate, walk in and have him get back in his body, and they couldn't use the base that the group pulled down from the mountains since the window was broken and Pandoras atmosphere was in the cabin. I might be late and this has been discussed already but I think of deep interesting things when I'm tired and this came across my mind. Any thoughts?

Hmm...good question.

I assume they probably used Hells Gate. I don't recall this been discussed in the past. Also, how did they get back to Hells Gate in the first place? Trudy wasn't around to fly them back, so either they got a ride from someone else, or they all flew an Ikran back.

They could have done what they tried to do for grace.

Couldn't he have just left his exopac on inside the link unit?

Or... would that interfere with the link process?

The window was broken, yes. But Neytiri put that mask on Jake so he could breath. He probably just went back into the link machine with he mask on.

This is a really good question. I figured Jake had to wear the exopack inside the link unit, assuming it could have fit. So then Neytiri would have had to lay Jake down in the unit, close the lid, turn around, and then suddenly she'd see avatar-Jake is standing up again outside!

Hmmm I never thought of that... that would have been a good emotional scene as well, showing her life up jake and gently setting him down inside the link and closing the lid, then turning around and seeing Avatar Jake stand up, look around, then see her, and they both smile at each other

obviously things would need to be worked out, probably wouldn't have gone well with the movie... could go either way

Maybe such a scene - one that explains how Jake got back in his avatar body - will be included among the tons of deleted footage in the collector's edition?

Hmm...sounds like it is entirely possible. Doesn't seem to far-fetched. It will be interesting to find out in November.

It's interesting, but I really hope it isn't in the extended. Showing a scene like that would completely ruin the moment for me...

I'm glad the original version of the film is included, because I really just want the moment between Neytiri and Jake to remain with me while cutting to the "Humans leaving" scene, instead of cutting to Tsu'tey. I'd really rather have that scene as a deleted scene to watch separately; that way I could marvel at its beauty, while still keeping to the original cut.

I know what you mean, as good as I think the scene of Tsu-tey's death is, I still really like the "I see you" scene as the movie's sole emotional climax. Or at least there's a better transition out of that scene in the original film IMO.

Alas, poor Tsu'tey. He really proved himself to be a true to heart character. Well, getting back to topic... That's a really GOOD QUESTION, Stanley. My therory is that, with his exopac on, Jake could have very well gone back to Hells Gate, (Riding his trusty Ikran... or something, with Neytiri), or maybe he found a Sampson Gunship intact and flew back. I believe that last scene where he is sitting, doing his "It's my F**king Birthday" thing was NOT in the pod, up on one of the floating mountains, it looked rather like the control room in Grace's lab. Just an observation here... nothing specific.

I just remembered that Jake was unable to walk on those legs of his... so the idea of the Sampson is out... :~(

I bet he had is exopack on while in link unit. There was probably room for it in there.
