I definitely agree. I saw the extended version a couple of days ago and I enjoyed it but I wished that they left all the scenes with Quaritch and Selfridge in the theatrical version because I think it told the story better. As for as the extended scenes, I liked them all but I do wish that the dance/drinking part after the hunt was kept in, the attack on Hell's Gate, and to a degree the dream hunt sequence. I say to an extend because I felt that it would have given too much away if it was kept in.
In addition, perhaps a few more scenes of Norm being jealous would have helped too since in the theatrical version, I don't think it came across very well that Norm was jealous of Jake. Overall, it was very good and I enjoy the movie even more than I did.

All the deleted scenes were awesome! Norm has a lot more personality in those deleted scenes too than in the theatrical versions. that was cool to see!
but the 2 deleted this that SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINISHED and put in the collectors cut (in my opinion) were the Hunt Festival and Dream Hunt! ![]() Those to added so much emotion an power to the movie. they should the relationships growing between every character, jake and neytiri, jake and tsutey, jake and grace, grace and norm, all of em, plus the dialogue between jake and grace before jake goes the the dream hunt was very powerful too! they should have finished them, you think with the nearly 3 billion this movie earned they coulda spent the couple million to finish those scenes haha ![]() but yeh the CE is amazing! everything about the behind the scenes was incredible too! great way to escape from college homework over thanksgiving break haha ![]()

yeh i agree with that, it was pretty acid trippy. they probably coulda left it about except for the conversation between jake and grace about why jake was there. they coulda kept that in, then cut to the ceremony they had in the actual cut.

Okay...
Deep breath... I'm just so insanely...... unsure, of what I've finally got to experience... again! After half a damn year of anticipation and waiting... It's hard now to even try to fathom what is going on inside my head. It's hard enough to even make any sense at all writing this... to express myself! I will try my best, I need to get this out of me :) Be ware, this will also be my reaction to Avatar as it is a very long time since I saw it at all :S The new opening scene was very good. I noticed how they used different angles in some previous scenes they had there. But I agree with some that It was a little long and continuous if someone like me want the movie to get started! :P It made me understand Jakes motives more though, and his character :) It all didn't feel that magical at first. All the time I've spend around Avatar without actually watching it has made some of it go away. (very, very sadly) I think I remember one of the first times I watched it at home, back in the spring, when I had about +50 goosebumps moments (excluded extra scenes). I know in my heart that I love Avatar, but my senses isn't "sensing" it in the same way anymore :'( Cause if my "subconsious" tells me that "it likes" Avatar too, then I have so much more reason to love it even more :) It just, feels even better! Anyway, getting off track here :P It felt (as usual) like the movie would never end! But it just happened that the Bluray player had a clock display! So from time to time, you just couldn't keep your eyes off it. Sorta ruined the experience to be reminded exactly in how long the movie would end. :'( Then the other extra scenes started to pop up! *tries to remember the scenes* Oh yeah, the school scene made a huge impact on me :( It may have to do that it was all new footage that made it to such a hype, but it sure gave a lot of back-story and characteristic emotions from Grace about that place :'( From there on, a rollercoaster! The Na'vi, Neytiri, The Pandoran Jungle... just... it all!!! :'( Absolutely loved the dinner scene with Neytiri pronouncing out her name to Jake with his goody smile :) And that little girl, so cute! ^^ And Jake's laughter after :) I'm sorta glad they didn't put in the other none rendered footage there with the Teylu. It would've still been nice to see Neytiris expression after jake's "Grandmas Teylu!" Haha :P And then, the movie started off (for real)! :) The extra scenes in the "Learning to become a Na'vi" vid-montage was  Some absolutely gorgeous screen-capping material right there :) Loved when Neytiri showed Jake the Medusa (big purple thingy) Gotta say though, the extra scene in Floating Mountains was a bit of a fail for me :S I mean... you could seriously see how the mountains/sky was animated D: That must have been the part that ruined the most of it all tbh. It just didn't fit at all :S. And I think it would've been better if it would've remained a mystery how the mountains were floating like they were, than Jake "explaining" it. But... The fanlizard scene... *sigh* to see Neytiris childish side like that... was... well, it flutters in my stomach thinking about it <:] Did anyone else notice "the Bioluminescence of the night forest" being played? 8D *short moment of well needed re-focusing* Grace telling Jake about the school was really not as emotional as I thought It would be. :S It felt more like she was "just telling" about it. Next up, Iknimaya!!!. I can feel how the end is slowly crawling towards me, but I enjoy it all to the fullest anyway :) I must say, the extra with Neytiri flying by and cheering on them, I liked it very much :) It was short, yes. But it fit perfectly IMO. After that, I think the deleted scene when Jake/trudy shows when they gather info while norm/grace are outside would've been a good to reminder to the viewer that Jake is still working for Quaritch. Then the Sturmbeast Hunt! :D OMG LOVED IT!!! ^^ It was seriously aaaaawesome to hear Neytiri yell "Hell Yeah"! It sorta gave me a back story on how Jake has been teaching Neytiri some too, how they've come closer to each other <:] *sigh* I really... REALLY missed the Dreamhunt and Party to be in the final version :( The dreamhunt was as mindboggling as it could be. It was a little strange to see the Na'vi go back forth against Jake like that at the start, even more weird when you could see the entire system through Hometree and etc etc. Would've been amazing to see in full rendering. #2 on my list of most wanted deleted scenes. And then #1 is ofc, the party scene :´) *sigh* that scene would've been truly gold as fully rendered <3<3<3 Tsu'teys talk with Jake, their drinking contest, Grace joining in xD Aaah Neytiri and Jakes dance. Could really feel the romance there <:] Since I'm writing so darn much, I thought I'd might pick up the pace from now on ^.^ lol Tree of Voices scene... *sniff* I'd be lying if If I said I didn't tear up :´( That tsaheylu scene really made it so much more powerful and emotional. One of the greatest highlights in Avatar, definitely! Would've preferred the Jake vs Tsutey challenge . That final detail that Jakes head missed the "blade" w/e was just too damn good xP From here on the movie just sorta flew by to me :/ Not much (any at all) extra scenes, which was the big hype for me(partially with first viewing in a loooooong time). The new version on the escape, do not want! Thinks it fits just fine with the old one. Scene after scene pass by. I enjoy it as the Avatar lover I am ^^ I would've wanted when they fix trudys helicopter scene. Also when Quaritch turns on Selfridge (love Selfridge flippin out there ^^) shows just how insane Quaritch has become (showing his teeths and all xD) ^^ And then it happened! Just after you see the burning pa'li and then back to neytiri.... THE MOVIE FREEZES!!! O.O Talk about ruining the perfect experience for me!But it was easy fixed, just rewinded a couple seconds... still though -_- Oh yeah! Wainfleet killing norm scene? O.o no thx >.> One thing that really bothered me though is that I've always heard that it was Wainfleet who cut Tsu'teys queue off and in that way making him want Jake to kill him (sniff) Not that I doubt that he would get really hurt from the fall, but couldn't they patch him up? I just didn't see any real reason for him wanting to die =S The scene itself was, heartbreaking... more or less :'( I sort of despised the "romantic" little tune at the end when Jake ended his suffering though... would've preferred it going quite or something. The scene that made me tear up the most definitely... Neytiri looked so broken there :( And then AVATAR... showed up, it was over. What I did was going directly to the bathroom, washing my face off with some water... and then just ended up starring at myself in the mirror. And then it hit me... I started to cry. Just thinking about what this movie is, what it means to me. How it has changed me. How it has given me all my friends here on ToS. Damn, I even do it now :´) This was all just a huge reminder of just how beautiful Avatar is, how much it has given me. It was all too overwhelming too keep inside and I just had to let it out, and this was the place ^^ And then later, I watched the deleted scenes and well, the lost feeling I had (PAD? ^^) just grew grew and grew! And now it feels like my mind is scattered all over my body... yet I succeeded to write this post to tell about my re-newing of myself :) I just wanna telll: I Love You All and that is thanks to Avatar! =) <3 Hope you had fun reading! Now go comment, reply or something cuz I have my first PAD since mid. spring and I'm going to bed! CYA later ;D (wish me luck with my Avatar dreams) :3 Wow, this is SO my longest Post Evar xDD ;D

Hmm, I've been starting to think about why I actually watch it anymore... it feels like the only thing it brings me is misery
![]() As long my mind stays in the movie, I'm happy. But as soon as I'm remembered that it will end... *sigh* It's just such a damn depressing feeling ![]() All this may have to do just with how long it was since I had PAD... such a distant feeling of emotions all tangled together to a big blue stripped round yarn ball :3 Can anyone refer to this? Or am I alone ![]() (Btw, I forgot to mention the last deleted scene when it showed the happy life of the Na'vi and Jake putting his hand on Neytiris stomach *sigh* It was a really beautiful scene ![]() Most wanted deleted scenes: Party Dreamhunt Ending Extra Grace/Jake scenes in Hometree Selfridge & Quaritch fight Jake/Trudy gathering data from Computer Quaritch's helicopter to site 21 So much good none rendered ![]() Do some of you perhaps still have hopes up for JC to someday actually complete all the scenes? In the future ![]() ![]()
