Default Best "Geeks defeat the Jocks"... EVER! (CE deleted scene)

That scene was the one I was waiting for. Where Max shreads the command center and Selfrage gets that well deserved finger finally. It is so satisfying to see that cowardly weasel final see that his profits and his power of unabtainum shatter in one insaine sequence.

In the earlier deleted scene of the full verson of drums of war, Selfirge said that he's shuting down the Avatar program. Well the Scientists basicly say, "Screw you!" I See it as an extreme example of how the Geeks beat the Jocks.

Vengence is so... so... sweet.

I presume you mean Jocks as in the American term for football players and not the derogatory term that English people use to refer to Scottish people.

Because I did not see any Scottish people at all in Avatar. Apart of course from the heroic Na'vi warriors who were reminiscient of the brave Picts who stood up to the Roman Empire.....

Unless of course, Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle are the off screen evil Scottish masterminds of some sort of Cumbernauld based RDA....

yes I was refering to the School sterio types. The Jocks are the stronger football players and they dominate the school while the Geeks have almost no stutes.

I really, really want to see this scene. :-) I'm probably going to have to wait until Christmas to get my CE.

For you lucky folks who have watched this scene, can you give us more detailed descriptions of what happens? (I don't care about spoilers... the more detailed the better.) In particular, how many avatars are shown participating in that attack? Is it possible to tell if any scientists participated who *weren't* avatar drivers? (other than Max) Also, any details you can glean about the individual avatars and their drivers would be greatly appreciated (gender, identifying which humans might be avatar-drivers, etc).

I'm interested because I'm writing a fanfic avatar sequel, so I'm trying to gain the best understanding possible of the group that remained on Pandora after the rest of the humans left.

For instance... there's a brunette woman (played by Jahnel Cufman) that we see coming out of link at one point; we also see her as a human during the attack on Hometree, watching the destruction alongside Max and Norm. I'm quite sure she participates in the attack and stays behind on Pandora, because we see her Avatar clearly during the scene where the humans board the Valkyrie to leave Pandora (or at least I'm guessing that's her avatar, as there's a facial resemblance). Other than that, I've got nothing definitive. There are at least two other male avatars that we see guarding the humans' departure, but we don't see them very clearly (though I'm guessing one of them might be the second "basketball avatar," played by Ilram Choi).

Based on the number of pods in the link room and beds in the bunkhouse, there should be a *maximum* of 10 avatars total. Three of them were Grace, Norm, and Jake. So if I'm right, there should've been no more than 7 avatars helping Max, and probably fewer.

Help an obsessive writer out?

The Last Train Home
Fourteen years after the war, a lone spaceship appears in the sky. The former members of the Avatar program watch its approach expecting the worst, fearing for their adopted home. Then the ship lands. And suddenly, nothing makes sense anymore.

Five seconds too late
This is a different kind of Jake/Neytiri romance, the story that would've unfolded had she been delayed for just five seconds while trying to reach him following the fight with Quaritch.

With the OP being an American, I'd guess so - even I think of the American word first when someone mentions it without a specific context (probably the only word with differing meanings where I do).

I'm sorry that I didn't put into account that many of the users here are from Europe.

They should've put that scene in the director's cut...
