Cool What would you consider "BlackWater"

What you consider the employees in it, are they bad or good.
To me man they are good, I respect them for their past military service and their service in BlackWater.
But that is me, the SecOps are pretty much BlackWater except BlackWater is in reality.

Doesn't BlackWater do all the military operations that the government doesn't want people to know about because their motives and methods are too controversial?

I don't know that they "do the dirty work," per se. IMO, they are to the US military what contingent staffing contractors are to larger corporations. I.e., they're a big band-aid. The actual security forces, anyway. I think the problem with them has less to do with the people--I do appreciate military service--and more to do with the lax accountability systems in place for these types of organizations.

Blackwater (now actually called "Xe"...whatever that means) also offers a bunch of other less-well-known and less-controversial services, such as training police.

Xe at first I thought it was like Ex-, as in Ex-military or something I dont know that was just when I saw it, yea my brother is going into Xe. He got up to his four year Marine active duty.
So I asked him more info on Blackwater(Xe), I only knew so little really.

I'm really not too familiar with BlackWater, other than I've just heard that they aren't... in the public's full approval. When I think "BlackWater" I think "Ed Harris from 'The Rock'; honorable, brave, true, yet you know there's still something wrong". My extent of knowledge for Xe goes as far as movies have told me.

Never really looked into it.

Ed Harris plays a pissed off former BlackWater special ops Brigadier General in the marine corps who experienced three tours in Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, and Desert Storm, received three Purple Hearts, and was awarded two Silver Stars and the Congressional Medal of Honor. His fellow soldiers were screwed out of any recognition, honor, or service payment to their families after they died in one of the missions sanctioned by the government.

Basically, he goes for revenge. Who wouldn't...

Can't say that I have much respect for them. If they were patriots then why don't they stay in the Army? They're in if for the money which makes them mercenaries. Never much liked the idea of the US employing mercenaries. It runs counter to all of our traditions and smacks of those European tyranies that our history likes to bash so much. I have no doubt that some of them are highly skilled, but a lot of them are just armed thugs. The fact that we're forced to deal with them at all doesn't bode well for the US.

No, I think they're all highly-skilled. They're picked particularly for their skills.

I don't know much about them, all I know is that they are a private mercenary company. I'm guessing they do things that they probably do the dirty work, but I'm kind of stereotypically liberal in that way.
