Default Avatar Was Released On DVD/Blu Ray a Year Ago Today

An awesome friend of mine on AF posted a thread that I just have to share with you all along with my response too.

Quote:
Avatar was released on DVD/Blu Ray a year ago today
Time sure goes by fast, I remember a year ago not hardly being able to wait to get off work so I could go buy the DVD/Blu Ray combo.

On another note, Happy Earth Day to everyone here. Posted by Col Miles Q

OMG....I remember being totally psyched out to pick up AVATAR on that FRIDAY and EARTH DAY! I got off after work and stopped by CVS to get my allergy meds and was in line at the register. I turned around for some reason and OMG I saw the stand with that big cut-out of JAKE with the DVD's and damn near fainted! HAHA! I of course picked up the DVD while there, but I thought it was funny to see AVATAR at CVS of all places. As silly as it sounds, it is one those days that I will NEVER forget! One of my best days ever!

This was the stand I saw in CVS and this is a picture of the one I have at home which I was lucky enough to find on EBAY last year. Costed me a mint at the time but SO worth it!!!

Happy Avatar day again, everyone!

Avatar is something like nothing else, something that showed us a place that is worth caring about, that gave us something to wish for, and we feel just as strongly well over a year on

So true.
It's always hard to believe how fast it's gone when another Avatar milestone reaches the year mark. I wish I had Avatar on Blu Ray. The experience would really be something.

Wow, it doesn't feel like a whole year ago Its so strange.. normally when i have some sort of obsession it lasts maybe a month or two, and yet here i am, a year after the DVD release of Avatar, still loving it as much as i did back then

Happy Earth Day everyone by the way

Wow, I can hardly believe it's been a whole year already - I remember picking up the DVD version on the 30th of April totally unaware of what it was to do to me (having never gone to the cinema to watch it)

Ahh such nostalgia *Hugs Avatar*

It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since Avatar was released on Blu-ray & DVD.

I remember going to get Avatar on Blu-ray at midnight one year ago today. When I got to the store I was the only person there. I watched it later that day and it was amazing. I was just so happy to have Avatar on Blu-ray so I could watch it whenever I wanted to.

Happy Avatar Day again everyone!

I remember, play.com delivered my bluray early
Then on the actual release day, I was at the event in London , I was the only Na'vi there...

you made me smile, ma tsmukan sometimes right things find us in the most unlikely places
I am between "Already a year?" and "Only a year?" cos this year was so packed with Avatar-related emotions, discoveries, revelations, communication etc. etc. etc. that it could be enough for several lifetimes! Very very intense and SO worth it!

The best feeling ever...when you got it, it was just YOURS. You didn't have to travel to the cinema to watch it, you could watch it for however many times you wanted whenever. I'm sure we all felt accomplished after buying the DVD that day.
