Default First time listening to the Avatar Soundtrack

Well yesterday while I was doing my engineering homework I decided I should try and listen to the Avatar soundtrack, because I'd never listened to it before. I listened to the whole thing on youtube while I did my homework. And Damn. It really brought back some emotions. Especially "becoming one with the people" I had to listen to that several times. I didn't quite cry, I teared up. (It's very rare that tears actually come out of my eyes) but I had that welling up in my throat, and just those raw emotions from a little over 2 years ago. It just brought back so many memories. Avatar just makes everything on this planet seem so boring. Especially now that I'm stuck in a big city for the next 4 years at college. It just doesn't feel like anything is worth doing. Not that I slack off, I do all my work, but compared to Avatar, the life the Na'vi have just trumps everything here. It make it look like everything I'm working for in my life is just something I have to do, because there's not much better to do here. Idk how exactly to say it, but Avatar makes this world look so bland.... Well PAD is back again.

It seems like everybody is moving forward. As if there is some final goal they can achieve and get to. I don't get it though. When I look around, it seems like I'm already there, and there is nothing left to do.

I wish I could take just one hour of what I experience out in nature, wrap it in a box, put a bow on it, and start handing out to people

next time, try to listen to it Without doing anything. Give it its time & full attention, "flow" with it. I tried to listen to it once while I was knitting & I just had to put it away because This music deserves one's full dedication (altho if you're listening to it while walking / running thru the forest could be a different thing & awake different feelings). (only a suggestion of course).

welcome to the club i've been there ever since Avatar & a quite while before actually. I don't know if it's of any help but I am really trying to find at least Something I can enjoy while I am in this world, & most probably, I'll hang out here for a while Like, recently I started drawing again - just with coloured pencils; I haven't done it in years, and it feels good. (Drawings inspired by Avatar I must say ) Just hang in there matey. Avatar Soundtrack is a life-saver for me, often so - altho the feeling is very bitter-sweet. You know what I mean, you've just felt it.

It's really strong... I have to be careful of how I feel when I listen to it, because if I feel down then it can have the same effect as Avatar itself, completely devastating.

I understand completely... Pandora is beautiful, and even if humans change Earth, it's never going to be as good

I know what you mean. I want to listen to it again, but it's an emotional burden. I have to be careful I'm in an acceptable mood to watch or now listen to Avatar

I used to watch Avatar and listen to the soundtrack all the time. I was thinking about it lately, and I sort of stopped all of that about a month after the last meetup. I scarcely knew what PAD was before I joined ToS, but now, I have to be more careful.

I felt it strongly before I joined any Avatar forums... it's hard to feel it here, but when you don't even know if anyone else in the world feels that way...
I didn't even work out why I felt so down for a day or two after I first saw it, I only even started to suspect when I was looking for when I could see it again, which was perhaps 2 days after the first.
