Arrow Home.

I've been pondering this for a while, and thought I would toss it out there for discussion. I'm sure it will make for interesting conversation.

In Avatar, Jake was a human born on Earth, but Earth was not his true home, Pandora was. Pandora is where his soul was meant to be, and eventually, he made it there. In the end, Jake came home, to Eywa and the Na'vi people. The Na'vi were his true people, Eywa his true goddess, and Pandora his true home.

In reality, do you think it is possible that someone's true home is not Earth? We all feel homesick for Pandora, we all feel that it is our true homes. Do you think it is possible that it is somehow embeded on our souls? That the real Pandora, somewhere out there in the infinite universe, is where we were all truly meant to be? Can a soul be born on the wrong planet? And if that is the case, how do we return home like Jake did?

For me, I will always live by this when it comes to where my home is:

Home is wherever you are now.

I feel like that, I feel like hearth was not my true home. I feel like I can't live in this type of society, then it's not really the heart the prob it's more our society.

I would like to have Jake's story, I would like to find Pandora, but it's easy to want some one life, it's harder to see what can be nice in our own life.

Personally I think it's possible, there's got to be other things out there. As far as Jake goes, I must admit I'm jealous but at the same time feel so happy for him. He found his true place

"And take me to a place called
home"
-Above and Beyond, Home

Home... truly something to think about. Here, I don't feel at home... I just don't feel welcome on Earth, like I don't belong here. I walk down the street and see people and think "I don't feel like them, I don't feel a part of them" maybe my mindset will change if I get away on vacation someplace maybe in the mountains, on the beach, someplace in Alaska... I don't know... is Earth my home? Maybe, maybe some places, maybe overall Earth isn't... but I just don't feel a part of humanity

I think there is somewhere on Earth I would feel at home, but it definitely isn't in the society and area I am in now. It is hard to know if I am meant to be somewhere that I don't know exists, like Pandora, but I suppose it's an interesting possibility.

I can see what you are saying entirely and I partly agree, i'm sure this planet is not where I was supposed to be... However I also sometimes feel out of place in time period. This modern world just feels... wrong. I don't really know how to explain it, but I feel like I should be in a time centuries ago, not where I am now.

Anyone else feel this 'out of place in time' feeling?

Definitely, I have felt this very often since I was about 14 years old, that this is not the time I belong to.
Sometimes I think my time was in the Middle Ages, sometimes I think it was in the late 18th century (the period of romanticism), the time when ppl like the painter of my Avatar picture lived.

For sure! I feel like I should've been born in the 60's although I feel like when I experienced Avatar, the timing was wonderful

I have always felt that I was born in the wrong century or decade. I probably should have been born in the Medieval era, etc. I have always been old-fashioned, etc. It is true that earth is not our true home but that gets into a discussion that is best done in the debate section. I guess you can say that Pandora is like Heaven, where one's true home is. Since most of us are dreamers and thinkers here at TOS, we yearn for another place and time. We yearn to belong but not here. I understand the feeling that I don't belong here in this time and in this world. Many people feel that way. I wish I could live in a society that was more thoughtful and kind but alas, this is the world in which we live in. The best thing we can do is take one day at a time and to love even though many of us, including myself feels like a fish out of water.

I feel like I should have been born on Pandora... I should have been Na'vi.

Ever since I realised, Earth has just had nothing for me. I have nothing left here, just Avatar. I keep thinking about what it would be like to be Na'vi. My mind keeps drifting to Pandora.

I want to go home. I wasn't meant to be here

I feel homesick about Pandora too. I mean, the Na'vi have so much (trees as tall as skyscrapers, bioluminiscence, a real and tangible godess,...) and we've just managed to destroy everything we've been given for something called progress.

I hope we can turn back or escape, I just don't want to see what's coming next. Nuclear war? No, thanks. I want to live.

I'd like to say I appreciate the wonders of this world, but I can't: the feeling of belonging to Pandora remains...
