On the Avatar Blu-ray, with the English DTS audio stream I'm only getting 2.1 sound out of my 5.1 speaker setup (logitech x530)
All the other audio tracks/languages (bar the dolby digital one) work perfectly across my surround sound setup. for instance i can get 5.1 sound on the the descriptive english track... just not the normal movie audio ![]() seriously bugging me! I only bought the blu-ray player just for avatar and now its not working properly.... GRRRR I've tested my only other blu-ray movies (the dark knight and batman begins) and both work flawlessly in 5.1.. well, so does avatar actually, just not with the Audio Track i need it in. I'm using PowerDVD 7.3 (which came with my LG Blu-ray combodrive) I'll paste what it says in the options when the DTS Audio track is being used "Audio Attributes: Audio Coding mode: DTS Sampling Rate: 48kHz Number of Audio channels: 5.1 Bitrate: 3765 Kbps" So apparently it thinks its 5.1, but it won't play 5.1 through my speakers, yet the other audio tracks all will This is my system specs incase anyone it might help Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. I Dont know how to delete this thread.. but don't worry guys.. The OEM version of PowerDVD that came with my blu-ray drive doesn't support DTS HD Master Audio without activation.. so thats what the problem was.
