From my black pocket notebook for ToS; written whilst being on vacation. People, you've got to try being without TV or Internet for three days, it really makes you move -and think.
--- I can't help looking at my land with other eyes; recording all the old creeds: Gaia, Pachamama, Terra Mater,... Think of this, those old gods symbolized the oceans which are home of the fish and the soil on which all kinds of plants and animals are born. This biological system gives nourishment to all living beings and keeps it all, as an only entity, in balance. A natural homeostasis, a constant cycle. It brings sustenance and place to millions of species. It houses all of us. We humans are apart from this system. We don't follow the natural pace and create ours: build houses out of the mud, stone and plaster taken out from their deposits; extract oil, refine and burn it; use millions of substances and drugs to cultivate, raise and then devour everything. What's brought back to the natural system it's not much: only the bricks, cans and waste we throw away and don't want to see or smell again. For some time, the biosphere stays damaged and the other species living among men suffer in the silence the use to keep. However the cycle keeps going and the waste is slowly assimilated. Problem is, man follows a quicker pace than Nature's -thus he ends up harming her badly; thus rivers dry up, thus birds and fish disappear, thus plants turn yellow. Thus the environment turns hostile to Man: some fall ill, some die and fade away like a neutralized virus. The damage they produce, in the end, is returned to them; and Earth's natural balance puts everything in its place once again. Earth, we live on you; but we're being asked something else: live with you. So I ask you mankind to stop biting the hand that feeds you, to stop spitting on the land you place your feet on. Live with it. Love it. How? Don't fall in the same mistakes our grandfathers fell in: don't worship or pray, because it doesn't speak our language. Don't offer sacrifices or fight for it: it only knows about life. Sing, grow crops, feed your pets, bring some bread to the birds, water your plants, visit the woods,... Make the most of what Terra Mater brings you and share it with everyone.

Wow I see you, you have so inspiring words and as Txum_kali'weya said "so true". You have described the Earth problem in the exact words.
I hope the other people will understand and see your words as I do.
