Again, you did a phenomenal job, Alan. If you have any more film ideas in the future, hit me up. It would be my pleasure to work with you again. I really enjoyed myself while filming.

I hope everyone enjoys watching the film
Yep, ditto for me on all the above! Congrats Alan, and to all of us on a film well done indeed!

Kaltxi everyone and irayo. I really don't know how to respond to all the words of appreciation and support for our film other than to say a heart felt IRAYO!

This is the biggest undertaking I have ever done. I have done so many things in the past that have either failed or ended up being abandoned. I was extremely determined for this not to go the same way, especially with so many people trusting me from around the world to make it happen. The stakes for me were pretty high and I would not have forgiven myself if I had failed to deilver what I said I would do to those involved.

We still have various things to polish off, such as the 'making of', DVDs for those who took part, the App for the iPhone that Unil Makto is working on and getting our film put on iTunes. But we are now at the top of the long climb up our 'Ikran Mountain' and neytiri has just come to offer support. We just have to catch our Ikrans now and fly off...

@HNM - I know you showed interest at the beginning and thank you for that. You never know there might be other community projects along the way.

@Marley - Ditto. You made the right choice to concentrate on your exams. You only get one shot at them. But there can be other community projects. Hope you got the results you wanted and all the best for the future.

@DoP, AllyCat and LA - Thank you for your comments. They are appreciated by all of us. Yes, please copy the links to your friends and family. Let them know that the community you are part of does try to make a difference.

@Josie20 and CyanRachel - Maybe we'll have to think about something after the dust is settled? There have been one or two who have said they would like to do it again.

@Sempu - Ahh, not sure how to respond to your words. Just taken aback really. I never saw it as a leadership role by any means. I just knew I have a real obligation to you all to make it happen, to keep you all informed along the way and provide encouragement the best way I could. We did a 'tree hugging' thing at work once where they looked at leadership styles. Mine was not to lead from the top or behind but sort of 'within'. Kinda making sure no one is left behind. I was so concious of not treading on peoples toes, especially with people I had not met before from around the world. Yet you have all been so obliging, enthusiastic, friendly....AARRGGHH so much I can't describe it. You all mean so much to me now. A new group of friends I never had 3 months ago.

When I look back to when I first stepped out of the cinema bewildered having just seen Avatar for the first time, I really would not in my wildest of dream imagined I would be here. I really am so grateful. I now know what 'oel ngati kameie' really means.

Eywa nagu,

Alan

Wow... those words were really touching Alan I'm not joking, I'm almost tearing a little And yes, I think we all wonder where in the world we would've been now without Avatar, if our view upon our mother-nature would still be the same... and without the caring family of friends we have here... who would we then have turned to in the look of trust and care. Our usual friends? Correct me if I'm wrong... but I don't think so This small community that once started as a Avatar forum has really grown up to one small family, all with it's different sort of members. Debating ones... Spamming ones... Joking ones... Mature ones... Wise ones... Musician ones... Yep, a whole bunch of people from all around the world mixed together into one big awesome family!

ALL IN THE NAME OF AVATAR!!! Thousands of Thanks to you JC

LOVEavatar, you hit the nail on the head, ma tsmukan. This place and the people here make this such and oasis of friendship, fun and support. I find it so liberating from the constraints I find in my 'normal life'. I just wish that James Cameron knew about all this and how he has inspired people and brought us all together. Well, hopefully he'll get to know about it soon!

Alan,

This is amazing! You don't know how happy I am to have been a part of this motivational film project. As you know from watching my movies, film-making is my favorite hobby, and it just felt so good to be a small piece of the puzzle that is this wonderful film.

The ending was the best part...the message really sticks that we should all "hand our home planet over to the next generation in a better state then which we received it." THAT'S INSPIRATIONAL. That, is what's going to get people motivated...the future of their children and the next generation on mother earth. Excellent words Alan, while I was watching that I nearly teared up.

Just the thought of how you arranged this entire film through the INTERNET mind boggles me. You certainly did a professional job with the script...it was easy to comprehend and I commend you for your outstanding scriptwriting skills. Everything you've done to create, maintain, and edit this film will never go un-noticed ma, tsmukan. This film is PROOF that we, as an entire forum have truly made a difference to motivate others to defend our planet.

Great job to you Alan, and to the entire Tree of Souls and Avatar-Forums crew. CONGRATULATIONS to you ALL!!!

Wow HotG. I really don't know what to say. Irayo is not enough for your considered words. I was so glad to have you on board. You were my special effects guy.

For folks, who don't know the shot with the house getting solar cells and wind turbines was done by HotG. The original had the solar cells on it, but me being me, wanted some wind turbines. I modelled some up and uploaded them. HotG composited them in and uploaded the shot back to me and then I incorporated it into the film and unloaded the test edit back to him. This was all done over just a few hours. That data did some fibre optic miles that day I can tell you!

AS regards the script we also need to say a rather big IRAYO to Sempu as he proof read the script for me before I sent it out to everyone. He helped with my poor 'hinglish' and ironed out the bumps. I must admit it did help me reading two books on script writing earlier in the year - all as a result of watching Avatarand. I'm not a book reader normally!

As for the ending I think the music lifts it up so much, which I found by accident in this Cinescore music generation programme I've got. When I first laid the music on and watched all you good folks doing your bit, I must admit I almost had a leaky eye moment myself.

Well HotG, you can add international film making to your CV and hobby now. Hey if you have any film competitions that you enter, feel free to put it in. It'd be interesting to see what the judges comments are. Plus more people get to see it. We have a British International Amatuer Film Festival over here next year and I'll put it in there and let folks know how it does.

Oel ngati kameie HotG,

Alan

@ tm20 - Yeah likewise, tsmukan. The app it being worked on as we speak. I'm shortly going to turn my had to the 'making of' and will post it when complete. The film has been rendered in the different formats now along with the four different language subtitles for those who took part from the non-English speaking countires. A big thanks to them guys who did the translation. Then I'll be putting together the DVD for the participants.

@ Tsyal Makto - Yeah, this forum and AF seem to be filled with such great people. This seems so at odds with the outside world we see around us. Whatever Avatar clicked inside of us, we all seem to share it and are capable of doing things like this. Outstanding!

@ HotG - Well...one of the things we intend doing is sending a copy to Lightstorm Entertainment for the attention of James Cameron. I wouldn't hold your hopes up though. He must get snowed under with fan mail, but I'm not going to deny him the opportunity of watching our film that he helped inspire. I hope he takes it as a great compliment from us.

Alan
