When dealing with inner feelings, it helps to identify the cause of them, if possible. Everybody probably already knows that, and that's what therapists are for, but I personally believe that assessing them yourself is always better, or if necessary, with the help of someone close to you. Sure, you could say bias will creep up and impair your judgement, but nobody knows you better than you.

Well said , I often think that being close to the person gives a better perspective then being outside, because there always needs to be trust, and that element of being able to place yourself in their position to help.

Spending fun time with people no matter who they are, is as much a cure to a troubled mind than any amount of thought, reasoning, or debate.

If you see something (or someone) and you want to have it/them in your life. Go after it, don't be afraid of the little things. Because 20 years later, you will either regret not going after it, or forget the little things that got in your way because you tried.

I'm not saying to go rob a bank, but projects, dreams, wishes, friends. They are all there, we just have to put the key in the door and step through to get them.

As my mother reminds me over and over again, when dealing with my own children, that 20 (yr) somethings see the world mostly in black and white and it isn't till their closer to 30 (yr) that they start to 'see' that the world is filled with a whole lot of greys!

There are many dangers on Pandora, and one of the subtlest is that you may come to love it too much.

Life is what you MAKE of it. sometimes you need to grab it by the throat, and SUBDUE IT.
I am not going to get into details that I have brought up in other places on this site, but, I could have wound up a drunken, drug addicted loser living in a box, or a sociopath in prison, or some miserable wretch, addicted to psychtropics for the rest of my existence given my birth and upbringing.
Instead of trying to "do the best with the hand I was dealt", or hoping for a better second hand, I just printed my OWN CARDS.
Case in point. When the FAA pulled my third class medical because Dr. Audie W. Davis didn't like people that were born Hermaphrodites, and used his power as the Chief Aeromedical Examiner at the FAA's National Headquarters in Oklahoma City, this aspiring Airline Pilot could have gone off the deep end, but no, I just CHANGED THE RULES of that little game.
I went to the South Pacific, where people like mr are CHERISHED, started a NEW life, Got legally adopted by one of the most powerful families on an Island Chain, and then, left that island group to start to fly for a Foreign Flag carrier, using a foreign License, and foreign Medical Certificate. I worked my way up the ratings and aircraft untill I was THE CAPTAIN on a Boeing 727 Air Freighter, flying the Pacific, and the owner my own 59 foot Irwin Center Cockpit Sailboat.
Life is what you FORCE IT TO BECOME FOR YOU.
