we got lots of wind and rain, some flooding, trees and fences down everywhere, but really nothing like the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, and the really bad devastation in Haiti. i lost power for about 18 hours, apparently the electrical substation was underwater and blew out it's transformers, since i heard several booms and then the lights went out. i had a ton of matches, candles, batteries, a lantern, two 18volt battery-powered lights, a big D-battery Maglite to use on intruders lol, my home enforcer, an old 16gauge side-by-side double-barrel Ithaca shotgun i got from my late uncle's estate, and lots of ice in the fridge and coolers. i also had plenty of food, catfood, beer, water, and can goods, non-perishables, as well as the necessary toilet paper lolz
still some flooded areas around my neighborhood, and a nearby river is said to be rising because all the flooded areas are draining back into it and high tide is affecting the area too. we already had a bunch of flooding and saturated wet ground from a storm last weekend or so. so much rain. *sighs* hey West Coast, want some precipitation????

^Im glad your safe ma tsmuk, sounds like a mess, it seems like the rain and storm surge are the real nasty part of those tropical cyclones.
Here, it was cloudy and we had a few showers today, then a brief thundrstorm this evening with one very loud crack of thunder, and huge raindrops. |

I was turning over this sentence in my head all day at work, just wondering what's the strongest way I can say YES...

Our official low this morning was 31F! But it looks like we are just days away from highs back in the 80'sF and lows in the 60'sF
As for the west coast, at least the northern half looks like it is going to have some moisture, along with a storm that was once a super Typhoon in the northwest pacific. |

windy, sunny, both warm and a bit chilly if that makes sense, good house-hunting weather, have to move again by January. moving in the winter sucks. long story but the gist is the landlord is selling the property, and ending all leases by February 1st, only required by Virginia law to give 90 day notice, which they did. i shall be moving in the chilly months. *sighs*

^Im sorry your having to deal with that ma tsmuk.
![]() As for here, great fall weather, running above avg. Temps, but not crazy warm, although they are forecasting a few near 80F degree days in the next week. So late fall, is, well late, hrh. |

Here, it has been, nice and dry, we finally got chilly this weekend, with lows in the mid 20'sF and highs in the fiftiesF, but today we hit 68F and we may climb above 75F again for a few days this week, before a wind storm, brings a stronger cold front next weekend, grass is still green here in mid November. Looks like though, I get by without using the winter coat, until within a week of Thanksgiving.
