Hello everyone! I'm new here, and I *do* mean new! (My "w" key is sticking, so bear with me please!)

I only discovered the world of Pandora back in the summer ... of '11. Yes I know. I said I was NEW. I was unable, for several reasons, to see the film in the theatre.

I saw it on cable for the first time some months back, became enchanted, bought the special edition DVD (sorry, I don't own BluRay, so I have no idea what it looks like on that format, assuming it's out in BluRay, which I imagine it is)

I've been involved in other fandoms for decades with both art (hand drawn as opposed to computer created) and writing.

After now viewing Avatar seemingly a thousand times, I found myself wondering about fanfiction, did a search and found myself here.

I'm not certain what I can contribute due to the fact that I'm years behind the learning curve, but I certainly hope I'll be welcomed.

I haven't drawn anything in some time but have been feeling the urge to get back into it.

It's good to be able to get away from earthly problems for awhile!

I completely understand what you mean be "being late" and missing the prime time for the movie. I didn't see it until 8 months after it came out, and I have never seen it in any theater.

I arrived to this forum later than most, and I found out that everyone here is extremely nice and welcoming. It doesn't matter "when" you had your "Avatar experience", just that you are here now.

So welcome and have fun!
