Hey Aaron How are you going?

I was doing a bit of browsing and found this which I thought might be of interest (Its a comparison between the C300 and the Scarlet:
Canon C300 vs The Red Scarlet! - YouTube

Also no soon does the C300 come out, then they decide to bring out the C500! Check it out:
Canon Professional Network - Canon developing EOS C500 camera supporting 4K video capture

    And also a 4K 1D DSLR: Canon Professional Network - Canon unveils 4K EOS-1D C DSLR

    Crazy! Hehehe

Sorry for the slow reply. Glad you liked the Sawley Snow video. I must admit some of the shots need colour grading as they are a bit on the flat side. I really must pay more attention to that really. But it was great fun making it and key framing the moving transitions.

So you've had some snow too? Sounds just like the UK. Actually, I really like Seattle. It seems a really nice relaxed place. Sort of European (Hope that's not an insult! hehehe) The weather was just right when I came over last year.

I must admit for me a really prefer the 60D, simply because, it still shoots the HD footage and you can use all the lenses, but the flip out screen is so much more useful for low or high shooting (still or video). It'll be interesting to see what Philip Bloom makes of it...

Hey Aaron Sorry for the slow reply. As for a C300, well I picked up two..Only joking - hehehe. So you're looking at a D4 then. Must admit I'm not familiar with Nikon stuff. I've been with Canon too long...get a lens or two and you stick with them! I did find some footage on the D4 though: Nikon D4 HD D-Movie - WHY ATHLETES [NEW] - YouTube. I get Canon's pro newsletter and they have been singing the virtues of their 1D for a while and now moved onto their new 5D mark III: Canon Professional Network - Canon unveils the 22.3 Megapixel EOS 5D Mark III DSLR

The only major video I have done on my Canon 60D was when I was in New York and the footage was great..although I haven't loaded any footage onto You Tube - yet! This might be of interest - from my EX1 - Sawley Snow 2012.mp4 - YouTube.

Oooo...just slightly expensive then! Ahhh! B&H Video. I managed to go into their store last year. If you have never been and get the opportunity go for it....only you might end up spending money! You have to check you bag in when you enter too. Never had to do that before. I ended up loose my bag ticket - what a palava that was - Hehehehe. But, yeah a great shop.

    Oh HELL YEAH! Hehehe

It looks to give stunning image quality at all levels from what you can make out on the videos. Maybe if I win the lottery, eh?

Hi Aaron Irayo for the link. Certainly unconventional camera review. Quite good actually. But I can see why Canon might not want it on public display...although they probably like it really I recognised some of the locations as places I was at last year when I came over.

I get a Canon newsletter and there was a link to the C300, which I thought you might be interested in:Canon Professional Network - French film director Pierre Deschamps is amazed by Canon

Over here is it in the region of 11,000...probably about $16,960!

So how many you getting? I was thinking of getting 2 as 3 might be pushing it!...

Hey, glad you got it. Sorry it arrived late, although I did send it at the beginning of December. Guess there must be so many mailing systems it went through.

Glad you liked the piccie - had to be done. Although I think Neyney would spend a long time playing with the bell! Hahaha

Nah...afraid I don't have a 3D TV...although I was toying with the idea of eventually getting a 3D monitor so I could progress my little challenge of making some 3D videos. But I have a bit to learn first.

If I do get one, I'd want to go for the passive glasses sort, rather than the active ones as the glasses cost a shed load and then you have to keep buying batteries and stuff - not a very environmentally friendly way to carry on.

I must admit I'm not all that clued up on codecs and stuff but what you say does seem to explain why yhe video footage I took of the Neyney statue has a ghosting edge when viewed through the anaglyph specs.
