Heard of volcanic winters, but I'm still in some doubts about : aren't the volcanoes inter-connected through magnetic currents ? I know it's a large scale problem, but since the magmatic layer is thicker than the surface layer for "them" I guess it's not an issue when one reacts so does another, at the same time or later. Then if this happens, we should be very aware.

About magma and volcanoes and such, my country had only a single seismic area until last year, when 3 other active areas started to show up hundreds of kms far away. The intensities weren't so big... only 2 Richter maximmum, but it's a problem for the future if it is getting worse... hope not.

Yeah, I've heard... something of St. Helen's eruption. But.. 650.000 years ago... at first I associated it with the end of dinosaurs era, but it was 65.000.000 years ago. Gee, it's hard to imagine such power. No doubt that volcanoes are interesting.
