Hey Mi'niri Yes, long time no hear. It's been good, I'm ill atm though I honestly prefer being healthy and in school than home sick with a headache and your entire body hurting. Not much with hp, except that I finally got my hp 5 and 6 copies on bluray last week. And I've been trying to start reading hp 5, the only hp book I have. But nope :/ Too busy with school.

Sup LOVE avatar. its been awhile. Omigosh I just read about the avatar exhibit they're doing at the special "science-fiction movie" museum in seattle on June 4th! I'm so excited!I told my mom about it (I still live at home while going to school) and she said it was my job to research to see if we can go! I hope we can1

How weird. I've talked to Imp here on the forum, and her favorite book is Order of the Phoenix I mentioned that I actually have the 5th book in my bookshelf, but never bothered starting to read it. She thought I should read it right away! But I wonder if it won't ruin the experience if i don't read them in the right order What do you think?

@ 2nd VM . Hehe, dw. It's me who should've responded earlier I've watched the first four films, the last week and I ordered 5th and 6th on bluray a whole week ago! So they must arrive quite soon (I hope!). And the books? ... well you read the above I presume

I'll have to think of some. But for the record, I don't watch rated "R" movies, which means I haven't seen a lot. Actually Hp1 i think was the only one that got the whole plot down flawlessy, of course minus the few tidbits. But my favorite, considering the books, is 5, order of pheonix. It was one of my least favorite books but my favorite movie.
My favorite of all time was book number three; but it's not at ALL like movie 3. If you read the book, then youll see

Can't say the movies are flawless, but damn can't I get enough of them right now! Must do a HP movie marathon sometime. o.o

It's the way of keeping the viewer drawn to the movie I think, to focus on a couple of selected characters throughout the movie. I don't really know if there is any other way you can do it :/ But I kinda felt the same thing for DH Pt1. I think they left out too many of the other characters, and it was the first HP movie where I have literally felt like they didn't show us the whole plot. I'm sure it's a bit different for you, who have read the books and know the story beforehand.

Although, one movie which I have in mind right away, a movie which is making you experience the story through the "ordinary" peoples POV, is War of the Worlds. Because in a happening like War of the Worlds, you don't suspect them choosing to follow some nobody-family around in an Alien invasion. Maybe you know some better examples.

I was depressed because of both: comparison between movie and book(mostly the sixth one)and the dark moodiness just got too much. I like a good amount dark moodiness, but that was too much in sixth movie. I thought I was going to drown in dark brown moody depressing environment . . .

on subject of other na'vi, i love to see different aspects of the omaticaya. It's MORE because the other na'vi were part of the story too. I mean, they focus so much on Neytiri, jake and maine characters (they're rightly to do so) but we hardly got to see any of the other na'vi, and i think they're just so cool and interesting

I have done my good reading in Avatar fanfiction (mostly back in Spring), and tbh, it wears me out too much. It's good and all (even fantastic some of them.) but it just takes SO much time. And just wanna say this: I'm quite a newb in HP So be gentle with me lol Till now, I've just been enjoying the movies.

Hmm, I see. Which one of the names are yours then... *ponders* I created my Na'vi name by translating the meaning of my name. (Henrik) And I got Kelkuyä Eyktan (Lord/Leader of Home)

And a question: How come you are so interested in the casual Na'vi's look? Just thought it'd be interesting to hear you motives.

As you may have noticed (if you've read my thread) is that I have indeed not read ANY of the books, so be gentle with the spoilers Tbh, I liked that the last few movies has been a little dark and moody. Showing that the evil is rising and that there isn't only fun with magic but also drama. Were you depressed with the comparison you made between the movie and the book, or were you depressed just because the movie was depressing? (I can't remember too well, was a while since I saw it. ) It wasn't until I watched Deathly Hallows Pt1 when I really got sold in to the HP universe. I might even have strong enough interest to start reading the books in the future, if I got the will to just start with the reading >.<
