Oops, that should be 140. Have you worked out what 140+2012 is?

I flew Attack Helicopters, but that was when I (externally) looked like a guy in the showers. If you want to see the best depiction of the Vietnam war, get a copy of "We were Soldiers". The helicopter scenes are very realistic, you will see what "my world" was like back then.

Most of it is not real Daniel, almost all of the movies that were made play up to every stereotype that was ever manufactured about Nam vets. Yes, there WERE people that came back strung out on drugs, but nowhere near the percentage that the movies would have you believe. Yes, there were women and kids that got shot, but when you had women and kids planting explosives, that was bound to happen. there were people that came back with PTSD, but, again, not the number that others would have you believe. Except for the fact that there were women and young kids killing your buddies, that war was no different than any other before or since except for one major point,
and that is the way that it's warriors were treated when they came home.
If you want to discuss this some more, let me know any questions that you have, and I will answer them.

Glad that you find my "sordid past" interesting, don't believe the stereotypes about those of that were there. If you want to discuss anything with me, feel free.

Kind of busy. In about a month I'm leaving the US to study and work in Madrid for a while and there's a lot I have to do to prepare for it, namely finding a place to live there...

Hope things are alright with you at the moment!
