I flew Attack Helicopters, but that was when I (externally) looked like a guy in the showers. If you want to see the best depiction of the Vietnam war, get a copy of "We were Soldiers". The helicopter scenes are very realistic, you will see what "my world" was like back then.

Most of it is not real Daniel, almost all of the movies that were made play up to every stereotype that was ever manufactured about Nam vets. Yes, there WERE people that came back strung out on drugs, but nowhere near the percentage that the movies would have you believe. Yes, there were women and kids that got shot, but when you had women and kids planting explosives, that was bound to happen. there were people that came back with PTSD, but, again, not the number that others would have you believe. Except for the fact that there were women and young kids killing your buddies, that war was no different than any other before or since except for one major point,
and that is the way that it's warriors were treated when they came home.
