lol strong words on my job well I'm something similar, I work in photoshop and make photos and pictures prettier and printable, then I make pages of our magazine (putting together the pics and text). I know it's not something unbelievably entertaining but I kinda like it, I like playing around with photoshop.

I'm a trained Graphic Designer, but have been stuck in the first job I got from college which is badly paid (for a trained designer with 5 years experience). I work in a printers so I don't do much design, mostly artworking (setting up jobs but not designing them) and setting up artwork for print. It's not fun, and I only got into the industry because I was good at art at school and the career advisers said being an artist won't give me an income so do Graphic Design instead. I wish I never listened to them, as now I have life experience I would never have got into it. I want to go into psychology and counselling. I love how humans tick and read about it for fun so I'm training whilst working to get out of this job I don't enjoy. Plus the company is bent as ****. Sorry about the language but I don't exaggerate they are greedy, abusive and have given employees nervous breakdowns it that bad.

hi, no I still didn't but I will soon! This dreadlocks dilemma lasted for about 6 years now lol, so I'm really giving it some time it's like I always get excited about something and search for this and that, and then I find another obsession and put the previous one somewhere in the back of my head to the pile of things with a "to do later" sign lol, but I will check out the dreadlocks soon, another thing is to decide whether I want them or not, I'd love to have them, but then I won't be able to put my cap on lol, I had my green cap for 5 years, we are close friends and I don't feel right without my cap! I won't be able to feel the wind in my hair (not that I liked it lol) and then the "bugs in dreads" stories eww... Yes I'm insane.

Hey, I'm better than I was Friday. It's been a release weekend for me, lots of talking and opening up to people. I hate bothering people but sometimes just having someone understand and listen helps a lot. Talking on here to the understanding people of this forum helps too. But things are looking better, and I need to focus on helping myself get out of this bad week I've had. I feel hope. But that's enough about me, how are you doing? Did you look into dreadlocks yet?

The best thing to do is to do some research on the internet and find some people that are known for doing a good job at making synthetic dreadlocks. Some people even have image galleries to show previous jobs off, so you can a feel of how they like to make them. Do you want real dreadlocks or synthetic? Then do you want them natural looking or more tight and shiny (my bonde ones are more like this). Then you have the length, thickness and colour. My hair is just platted in with the dreads atm, but I also though about having real ones (it's the shaving them off after that worries me, I don't think skinhead would suite me!). The guy you knew with dreads sound like real ones, also sounds like he got a little lazy with looking after them if they weren't fully locked. It doesn't matter what your hair is like as long as it's at least 4 inches long (for braiding in synthetic or creating real ones from your own hair).

yeah, the platinum blonde ones look really great. So does it depend on actual person making the dreads? I knew a guy who had dreadlocks too, but there was a lot of his hair not locked and flying all over his head lol, I'd love to have some smooth dreads one day though, it does matter on the type of hair too doesn't it?

Hey, you can't beat relaxing to some music. The white dreads are actually platinum blonde with some black transitions dotted around. I had them in two years ago, and added some red ones last year. I went more natural this year, but they are a little too fuzzy. It's hard finding someone to make dreadlocks how you like, since the girl that made my blond ones doesn't do it anymore.
