Thank you all for your b-day wishes! Nothing but work today and visiting with family. Big party comes on Monday when I go to Disneyland with granddaughter and son! Woot!

I'm in San Diego, lived 20 years in the Bay Area (I miss the redwoods!) been down here for almost as long. Went into theater in college to do costuming and a little acting, got married in the 80s divorced ten years and three kids later and moved down here to San Diego.
I work at a retail nursery and a fabric store (yep, work 7 days/week) I've read a lot of sci fi and fantasy, met most of the cast of Babylon 5 over the course of a few cons as well as JMS who created it.
Oh, and I'm currently on Second Life playing in an Avatar/Pandora role play which looks like it's going to be very interesting.

Good to hear!!! Where are you on the West Coast?--I'm in So. Oregon--just outside of Medford in Eagle Point--The wife & I have a small ranch up Hwy 140 towards Diamond Lake. I work as a European Auto Tech in Medford & still do programming in my off-time (Alpha & Beta tester for Ubuntu Linux).

Been a Sci Fi person all my life--Got to meet most of the Star Trek cast (original series) at various conventions over the years--Shatner had a spread up the Applegate area back during his T.J. Hooker days (how forgetfull)....

Was released from High School in '75--tried to get a job with Main-frames after college (late 70's) & ended up with cars--go figure.......
