kaltx! apacha blanca told me, you're the insect expert on ToS? i'm interested in insects, especially beetles, since i was a teenager. for over 10 years i was member of a scientific section, who collected insects. today i'm only snapping them with my cellphone, when i'm in the nature with my family.

dear greetings and a wonderful middle of the week.

I had no idea. I've never seen one before, I thought it was kind of facinating and it was such a bright red color. Thanks for the info.

That's pretty cruel..I don't know if a tarantula could find enough food in the middle of winter. A tomato frog sounds interesting, the colour on some of the pics I'm seeing looks pretty vivid.

    >.< Awww I can't come...But can you fill me in with pics when you get there?
Aha, sounds like you're simulating their ecosystem quite well, it helps to keep amphibians and reptiles interested when they look for food.
    So now he's an adult?

Here was I thinking that he just ate too much hehe.

Lucky salamander. He probably eats better then most cats and dogs do. Can you send me a pic? I've somewhat grown attatched to the little-now-big guy.

Sounds like a feast! Do you have any new additions to your animal sanctuary?

Good Many orchids are in flower/buds/spike, I'm especially glad for my Phalaenopsis Mini Mark and Epidendrum radicans ''orange'' which are starting to show their first buds! My 180l tank is doing well, but I going to restart it in a couple of months, I'm going to set up an Asian stream biotope, can't wait And probably tomorrow I'm setting another 50l tank ''plants only'' with high light levels and ferts. How is your sanctuary?
