Yeah, I guess it's a matter of habits and traditions; though I wonder what you do by that time of the year instead: beach parties?

Call me, the 21st century Socrates

    Oh. You in vacation time?

Ah yeah, you live in the Southern Hemisphere. Must be strange to celebrate Christmas without the snow

Yeah, It would proly take some getting used to. Hell, all the testing you'd likely need to go through first would still give you something to talk about. One day though, and perhaps space travel will be as commonplace as air travel.. it'll open up a whole new adventure for us.

Well hey, I remember reading about a hotel up in a space station orbiting the earth that was supposed to be opened some time next year, dunno if that ever went ahead or not, but it shows that space accommodation isn't totally out of our minds. I'd love to see our galaxy for what it really looks like first hand, even if it is but a mere fraction of it.

Yep, and now our 'charming leaders' are divided on whether or not to take it, some say we wont last without it, and others claim taking it would be an embarrassment.. Economic's; Ain't it grand?

Ahh well, we've had problems like this before, so for now i'll take the optimist route and say; Despite the difficulties ahead, we'll survive.

...or the government will collapse and there'll be a power struggle, whatever comes first

Live out in space? Yeah, that'd be awesome.. Too bad our space program is all but in the trash right now.. Such a simple dream and yet so impossible to realise
