It's been pretty okay. Although the weather is still changing. The sun doesn't show up again. But last sunday I finally visited the forest. It looked like this:

Thankyou Matthew, I mean that. I'm glad to see that we share a common longing. But yes, I suppose we have a hole that we need to fill, I think we should travel around, meet other people from different faiths and grow to form our own unique spirituality.
That I can understand, I was baptised as a catholic when I was a baby but when I heard a religious teacher in school say that there are many bridges to god but only christianity is the true one and the others are broken..I wanted nothing to do with christianity anymore, much like with your experiance. That is very, very true. That's what I do and it works for me but I try to blend spirituality in everything that I do. For example the buddhist truth that desire causes suffering is my mantra that I use to combat consumerism and the media. Religion causes a lot of trouble to be honest. I will use Islamic teaching in my spirituality though such as giving charity to others. Government should always be secular.

Hmmm I suppose, to be honest I got caught up in the religion idea from kingdom of heaven and I thought that to have more purpose in my life that I should conduct myself the way that is in the Qur'an since we see that people of that faith are impossibly devoted. But I had a discussion with my parents and they brought up the marriage thing and the fact that I would have to forsake my parents for my new faith and I couldn't do that.
I suppose I'm looking for something more, spiritually I take lots of beliefs from faiths such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Wicca and Islam but I'm not willing to convert to a mainstream religion especially with all the intolerance between them all.
I'm mainly looking at a way to combat this mass consumerism and capitalist society but hiding behind a veil isn't the way. -
