Stan the man!

So stan, quick q for you man! I know ive asked this before but havent researched as much as I normally do when I get on a kick for something so just asking a lot of questions to ya

So say I wanna produce, I know I need something like Reason or Fruity Loops studio, then I figure I would need a type of midi control thingy, maybe a compressed mic for samples? Not sure all the equipment I should look at. Also, how do people go about making their song seem to transition from sounding amateur to sounding professional?

Ive found songs of producers who are now getting big and their older tunes just dont have the quality of the old ones. Is that due to mastering? What exactly is a mastered tune? And as a side note, hows your producing coming man??? I wish I had stuff set up so I could just bust out what pops into my little head XD

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! So there is this event coming to Texas called Dallas Meltdown Music Festival! Its only like 40 to get in with 3 stages and I was kinda meh about it to be honest cuz I didnt think the line up was anything to special....that was until they just now released that Excision is coming!!! So now Im stuck and not sure what Im gonna do! Look them up on FB and let me know if the other artists playing would be worth going or not. I would kill to see excision but Im not gonna bust out the money for like 7 dj's if I am only going to see one

haha yea we were bored waiting for the wind and traffic to go away, I also did a Jamaican one where I had the beard on my head and talked in that accent yea I just got my package with the DVD, shirt and little paper that he wrote for us... ive got to say that guy is absolutely amazing
