You could do pretty well just playing tabs over and over and making your own music. Jazz has a nice beat, are you going to use an instrument to play some jazz music?
Thanks, that means a lot. It's 4 string hehe I've never heard of a bass guitar having 5 strings. Are they rare?

Um fingers, the pick doesn't seem to be as responsive. I'll just play the bass the way I played guitar, by learning tabs and making my own music by following the chords.

Mmm not just yet tsmukan, but I have them close by. I need my mother to buy some boot glue (which works well with metal and leather) and she is on a xmas budget at the moment. I think I'll have to wait till late december to get started. Though as soon as I do I'll be posting progress pics.

That should work out. Otherwise you could just buy some of those learner CD/DVDs. Hmm I've had a look on Ebay and there are some for $500. I'm not sure if there is a major difference between them and keyboards but I'm not too much of a piano person. I hope you manage to get a job and get a piano. Good luck!
