Default Question about the Na'vi language

There are several reasons I have not attempted to learn how to speak or write Na'vi. The first and foremost is the utter failures at learning other languages that litters my past. Well, litter may be a bit extreme, but there are at least two major ones and one minor one.

But secondly, and this made it a non starter for me as soon as I heard Na'vi spoken for the first time......

Is it possible to speak conversational fluent Na'vi without the ability to roll your r's?

Hm, interesting question ma Crickett. Rolled r's are used in Na'vi because we have the 'rr pseudovowel and also all single r's in are flipped. HOWEVER, in the the movie, Zoe Saldana couldn't roll her r in her line "Tsakrr za'u aungia ta Eywa." I would say you could get by alright without the ability to roll your r's just try your best

There isn't any definite requirement to other than it being part of how some sounds are normally made, but that doesn't stop someone from being able to speak it - I have the same problem

What Txon Rolyu said. I have encountered a large number of people who also are not able to say 'rr. but just approximate. I would understand you. By definition, you could not speak fluently without saying 'rr, but conversationally, as far as understanding goes (which is what mostly matters), you'd be just fine, really.
