Default Something I've noticed comparing Na'vi and Tagalog

They sound kind of similar with some of the words and ways to pronounce them.

For example, you hear Kal'txe Neytiri mo'at 'ite.

Tagalog: "Kumusta kayo Neytiri anak na babae ng Mo'at."

This is something I've noticed, given I speak Tagalog as a second language.

No, the way some words are pronounced when you say them sound similar.

This is really cool! I've been curious about Tagalog. Beautiful language!

Na'vi has been said to sound like Hawaiian as well. Indonesian, Japanese, Spanish, and many other languages have features or sounds in common with the Na'vi language. It's like it takes all the best parts of a diverse array if Earth languages, without purposely deriving any native root words from these languages.

It's cool how many people say Na'vi sounds like X language, where X can be a variety of languages

Perhaps, Na'vi uses common phonetics?

I think Paul Frommer has said he had taken some concepts from the Polynesian languages.

Cameron said he looked casually at Polynesian languages as a reference.
