I made a little "Pandora on Earth picture-series" a few months ago, and thought I'd want to share it with you now. I took different species of the Pandoran fauna and looked for the greatest similarity in terran creatures.

Monkey/Prolemuris
I don't know much about different monkey species, so I didn't put much effort into this one.

Wow such amazing comparisons! I can imagine that Cameron took inspiration off existing animals we have here on earth.

It's no secret they are inspired by Earth animals, but still, very nice - I like those Earth ones too.

Sad story bro, it's not about resemblance, it's about beauty. Remember that we've seen so little of Pandora that you can't just say it doesn't look like it. The thing is, it looks like it could be from there, not your regular earth when you walk out to street.
It's even what the topic was about in the first place, about finding something beautiful on earth, not finding something that looks like Pandora. Sorry to get all defensive, but it's my favourite topic on the forum lol.

but the thing is some of the pics in that thread really aren't outstanding. some are just meh, i think that was his point (which i agree with, i remember seeing a pic of a backyard pool with some morning mist ._.)

I love imagining the environment on the rest of Pandora

^ Same... I saw a picture on a track I listened to the other day, it was a piece of art by someone on deviant art, of a small figure stood atop a curling ice cap, looking out over a snowscape, looked so much like a Pandorian arctic circle to me.

Wish I could remember the track.

(Come to think of it, Pandora doesn't even have an arctic circle, does it?)

There are ice caps at the poles, but not over land.

Wow... That really is an incredible picture... Yeah, I would say that was kind of what I had in mind, maybe if you made the mountain a little bigger, maybe had some floating ones, too.
