Default FAQ and common misconceptions

Feel free to suggest new entries or any changes

FAQ:
Q: How did Tsu'tey know Jake and Neytiri mated?
A: They were holding hands, Neytiri had her hair loose. Also, morning after hair

Q: Can Na'vi breathe a human atmosphere?
A: Yes. The qualities of Pandora's that kill humans are excess CO2 and H2S - neither of these are absorbed from breathed air. Otherwise, Pandora's atmosphere is very similar although with more Xenon and less Argon, both of which are inert. There would be no problem, other than perhaps the Na'vi having a problem with pollution as they wouldn't be used to it.

Q: Is Neytiri beautiful?
A: Of course

Common misconceptions:
Misconception: Tsaheylu == sex
A: Just no. Tsaheylu is a joining of minds which alows the sharing of thoughts, experiences, memories... Na'vi makee tsaheylu when they mate for life, which gives them a deep insight into and understanding and love of the other, but the Na'vi have actual sex like humans do.

Misconception: The shuttles on the ISV face first one way then the other
A: No they don't - the ISV is first shown engines first as it was decelerating, then has turned round when approaching Pandora - it only has engines on one end.

I thought Tsu'tey saw them running from the dozer together as he turned around. There's something missing there, either in the Hometree scene or before.
She wouldn't have unbraided her queue if that's what you mean.

(trying to come up with a FAQ myself, difficult when you understand the movie. )

It bugs me to no end when people say this... I'm like, "no no NO!" and I try to explain but they keep joking about it.

This same thing happens all the time between me and my sister when talking about this...

The funny part is how my sister claims to be a "big fan" like me, when she really has no clue about the film's details. She's one of those who left the movie with big excitement, but it subsided. With me (and obviously, everyone else who still posts here), it never subsided.

But YES! I know how you feel, Stan...

Aw... Now I'm thinking about Grif too. Hey man, I still love ya. Even if we disagree on practically everything, I gotta say I love you, man.

I am in no way trying to sound creepy, btw.

Yeah same here. When I talk about Avatar, the second thing I hear after, "Hey, that's the movie about the smurfs!" is, "Wait a minute, don't they have sex with animals?!?"

Well you shouldn't call them Skxawngs if they don't understand the truth. They're either confused, or just joking, as modern society people tend to do.

But of course, that's my conscience talking.

Technically, they actually ARE ayskxawng, since most people don't WANT to know the actual explanation.

You know, if you call someone like that an ayskxawng, they wouldn't know you were insulting them. Thus, you'd be satisfied, and you'd still technically be polite about the whole thing. It's like calling a Brazilian a s**t-head in English; they wouldn't know.
