Tree of Souls' questions for Stephen Lang
 

Well, as many will know, I was at the Tree of Souls in London today, as a Na'vi. Yes, I met Stephen Lang, and people took 9001 photos, like when we pretended to fight each other :D

Anyway... I got an email address, for if we can come up with 6 questions for him... this has to be by tomorrow afternoon, so get going with suggestions and mention which other people's ones you like. I'll make the decision tomorrow morning with any other admins who are on, then I'll email them.

As for pictures, you're going to have to wait until tomorrow as I'm writing this on a a mac at the house of the person I'm staying tonight, and I can barely do anything on it without difficulty (plus, I didn't bring a cable for my camera :P) - I took a lot of photos though.

Anyway, suggestions for questions, go! :D

I think we should have categories for questions, for example;
Questions about Miles Quaritch
Questions about Avatar - plot etc.
Questions about sequels - off-moon, venturing into the sea, role of the RDA, cloning of Quaritch, return of Sigourney Weaver (perhaps not waste a question on something that will get a one line response :P)
Questions about production - working with James Cameron etc., new technology
Questions about Pandora....

Here are some:

As you essentially 'became' Quaritch and made the character your own, do you think Quaritch felt any sort of emotion, any at all, when destroying Hometree?

How do you feel about some of the messages that were conveyed by Avatar? Trying to save the environment before it is too late etc.

You have played a number of military figures in your time, all with different backgrounds, motivations and approaches to the field. What interests you to play such roles, do you enjoy covering the reactions to war from different perspectives?

Do you expect your character (Col. Miles Quaritch) to come back at any point of the sequel or sequels?

Many say Quaritch was evil for bringing pain among Hometree and the Na'vi, but others believe he was just following orders. Where do you stand on this? Do you think Selfridge is more of a bad guy because he was the one giving orders to Quaritch?

This is mine, which I will include as one if people like it:
When Avatar was being made, were you aware of the scale of how big it would become, it's effect on the world, and just how many people it's message would reach? Are you glad you were a part of it?

Mine might not be suitable to include, and doesn't really fall into any of Sacred's categories... but I've always wanted to know this from the horse's mouth:

You must've had loads of fun developing your character and acting it out. But there are those who think your character "one-deminsional" and without any real depth. How do you respond to that?

"Will your character return in further Avatar films, and if so, do you think he will be further developed on, with a back-story?"

HNM I really like yours include it!

Here is one just for laughs from you guys, not likely a real submittable question XD "How do you feel about your character, Quaritch, earning a place on the scale of badassness with the likes of Chuck Norris?"

But I DO have a question for you: Have you wiped the ****-eating grin off your face from not just MEETING Mr. Lang but "fighting" with him as well? I'm imagining you are one HAPPY HNM right now!

Do you visit Avatar-forums.com, LearnNavi.org, or any other large Avatar fan forum?

I don't really have any questions to add, but I'd say that asking pretty much anything about sequels is going to be a wasted question. First, he probably doesn't know much, and if he does, he most certainly is contractually prevented from saying anything about it.

I would stay away from questions about sequels or even the story. He is just an actor. I doubt if he has all that much more insight into Avatar 2 that than we do. Really. Besides he would be sworn to silence anyhow.

I would ask questions about him and his relation to the film. HMN's question is a good start.

How did you develop the character in your own mind that is so badass that he is compared to Chuck Norris?
What kind of training did you do to prepare for the film?
What's next for you?

Perhaps a question or two about him and his relation to the fans like is he aware of the forums and what does he think of the forum participants. Perhaps a question relating to PAD.

Questions sent. Sorry we didn't have longer to get questions, I would have also liked to allow more input on the actual questions rather than just the people who were on IRC at the time, but unfortunately it had to be done today.
