To be honest, i've never met a Furry in person or on the internet (Before now :P) Which is rather strange, considering I used to be one.
Having been one in the past (also looking at the Yiff side of things) I can understand what goes through the mind of a Furry and I have to say - in my personal opinion - it is neither disturbing nor perverted. As far as I can see, they're normal, loving people just like everyone else who just happen to be a little different. I agree with TxonTirea. As with everything in life, provided i'm not having it shoved into my face, I really don't mind people's variance in life.
I see what you are saying Aquaplant, but the same can be said for virtually any group out there. How do you define an Avatarian? I'm sure every single person on this forum has a different interpretation of exactly what it means to be one and whether they consider themselves to be one. Some may say you're one for even being here, others may say you're only one if you are completely fanatical. It's all subjective.
I think what we all should realise (whilst trying my best not to get preachy) is that everyone is beautiful in their own indiviual and unique way and that (to a point) whatever people do in their own time is fine, provided they're 'good people'.
