You do know that not all Furries are artists? I find your post offensive and rude. All art is beautiful no matter what style you are doing. Most Furry art I see aren't "adult/mature" art. I highly doubt things like kissing or hugging isn't considered adult/mature content. Idk what you are searching but most furry art I come across aren't adult/mature content.

Okay really? I just spent a long time a few days ago trying to prove that a lot of furries aren't all horn dogs and you post this. Wow no wonder why people think we're always thinking about sex all the time.

If I’m able to vitiate your claims concerning the amount of wholesome, respectable furries in the furry community, undermining everything you've done thus far, with just one picture... then that is why you fail. If you were actually right, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Driving the point home: as far as I know, we are the only fandom who have created a new word for sex. (Feel free to go Google'ing to prove me wrong. But admit, it's one of the few if not the only that comes to mind, am I right?)
Just because one does something, does not mean that is all they do. See, there you go, assuming the same thing everyone else is. I'm not on either side. I disagree that it is/ever was/will ever be an entire clean fandom (and that that's all it represents), but I also disagree with many of the things the extreme members of the fandom think and do, because there is a beautiful side to it, it's just hard to see it sometimes.

In short, I was simply fighting fire with fire. Pun intended.

People often only hear of the “negative” aspects because, quite frankly, there are a lot more of them. I call them negative for lack of a better word. I'm sure you're not surprised how many furries are open about sexuality within the fandom, but god forbid a debate arises.. "Quick, hide the porn, clean this place up, fetch me a mop!"

Sexuality is such a difficult thing for people, seeing as in many cultures it is such a taboo, and especially in America as far as I've heard. It's always fine to jest about the subject, but when it comes down to talking seriously about it, people start to claim absolute purity and whatnot, because they think sexuality is something unclean, something to hide and to be ashamed about.

Suffice to say when you add sexuality to anything, it will cause enormous amount of drama, because it's such a controversial subject full of hypocrisy. So much fuss over simple and natural thing, but then again what would the world be without drama.

Ok, I'll say it AGAIN...
I know not all furries are only interested in sex within it, and I have no problem with people who DO like such things, but I still don't like it when they assume that everyone wants to know about that... I really would rather people keep their personal lives private. I wouldn't want to tell other people about my interests in that way.

As a note, if you want to debate about a personal issue to do with 'furries' and think it's inappropriate to post here you can post on #furry on the wyldryde network.

Let me restate my viewpoint more simply so that people don't get the wrong impression:

I don't mind furries. They tend to be nice people. I also don't care what "kind" of furry they are. What I don't like about it is that I can't seem to get away from it sometimes. I like some of the artwork when it isn't done in a certain style, and I don't mind looking at it, but sometimes I can't get away from the other artwork. Not necessarily adult stuff; it's the non-adult stuff too. People who aren't really internet people look at that and instantly go "WTF" about it.

So I really don't have much to add to this thread, I suppose, other than stating my viewpoint about it: I don't care much for most of the artwork. I think that furries could benefit from a general change of style when it comes to the artwork they use to protray themselves on the 'net, but my opinion really means nothing.

As for the "moving furries to their own gallery" I didn't mean making them all "adult only images" I just meant that maybe they should have their own section, because some people find the art disturbing/embarassing. This would make it easier to find anyway, and people could choose to put there art here or not.

I'm sorry if some of you still find this offensive.....it's just my viewpoint. I was polite about stating it, I didn't insult anyone, and I wasn't ambiguous about it. You'll find many many people who will not think the same way as you do about things you feel strongly about; that's life.

It's better to develop a "tough shell" and just ignore the people who hate you or vehemently disagree with you than jump into the gunner seat and start firing away, as it were. This is part of the reason why trolls like furries; many of them are too easily offended. The best way to defend yourself from these kinds of people is ignore them without any response, and go about doing your business anyway.

I don't have a problem with your opinion, because you don't like the art, and I can't change that, nor do I really want to or care. I just don't understand why you quoted that post. You not liking the art has little to do with Aquaplant's quote about what furries are. Edit. Disregard that - not as big a deal as I'm probably making it sound.
