What bugs me every time I watch Avatar

Switch on the DVD, put in Avatar and press play; and since that very moment I just wonder why I don't do the same: get out, take some fresh air and run over the hills, climb high trees and all that ecologist utopian stuff.

So I stop the movie and stand up, look through the window. "Ah, this is why I don't get out more often". Sit down and press the play button.

Yet the need of running away remains.

It really bugs me :P This is the reason why I couldn't watch the DVD at length yet.

Lmao :D Looks like you got the case of the AAS (Avatar Addiction Syndrome!) :P

But yeah, I understand how you feel. It may not be quite as beautiful as Pandora, but breathing in the fresh cool breeze makes you feel alive too... I'd say both are wonderful creations, and it is up to you to get out and truly feel the connection that resides within us all. :)

In fact, I would say that we all have cellular memories of what it used to be like and its calling out to us, moving us to feel this connection daily in our lives. So don't stress too much about it ma tsmukan. :) Take your time and let it happen as it's supposed to.

The same thing bugged me out at the virst viewings of Avatar, that's why I started to run, to practice parkour/ freerunning and I do it everywhere doesn't matter if people look strange at me I like to jump over obstacles instead of wasting time walking around 'em. :D

Good one.

I started running again. I live up a hill, and I love to run down it listening to Jake's First Flight and imagining the part where they fly down the cliff :)

Can't say I've ever had it during the actual film though, I'm usually too absorbed for that.

is there something unusually depressing about what is out your window?

Call unusually depressing a supposedly untouched landscape where drug addicts throw away bottles and syringes, with some unfinished works (in fact, they did just the roads and sidewalks, no buildings for the moment) and just 200 meters away a small ghetto for Italian gypsies beyond the road.

It's difficult not to feel a bit demotivated when you love green hills and but have a real f*cked place around where it's almost impossible not ending up cut somewhere after a walk.

Just saying, we decided to go into town instead of walking the dog out there because she was always licking her paws once she was back home, to heal some little cut she made herself with the pieces of smashed glass that were spread all along the street.

Enough?

EDIT: And I live in the suburbs of Madrid.
