The world is thus

"We must work in the world, your eminence. The world is thus."
"No, Seņor Hontar. Thus have we made the world... thus have I made it."

Rapunzel knows I've been trying to change myself and my heart to reach a single goal: love. "Love, even when it hurts" she said.

And it hurts. Badly.

It hurts, because it's not easy to just don't care about the fingers pointing at you and the smiles laughing at you.
It hurts, because the rest don't understand what you are doing and see you as a weakling.
It hurts, because it's likely to be turned nothing back.
It hurts because in this place love is a lesser good.

The world is not caring, the world is not loving. The world is selfish, is violent, is incomprehensible and impossible to change. The world is a place where the strongest rule. And the world will remain so.

The world is thus. And we must work in the world.

I wonder if all this time what I am trying to reach is nothing but a nice utopia, an ingenuous dream. If I should become as the world to make something for it. Arrogant, bold, rude and egoist.

If love here is fleeting and fades away with ease.

Is all this worth something? All these sacrifices, this restrained rage, this painful smile; are they really necessary?

Or have I just been fooled by something I will never reach here?

Zenit, Love is stronger than all the ugliness and egoism that you see in the world. In fact, the reason why the world is so ugly is because the love of many have grown cold. People have become colder, uglier, unfeeling. That is why we need to love more. We see darkness all around us. Yes, it is terrible but think of a dark room and then think about what happens when you light a candle in the dark room. The candle burns bright and illuminates a wide space. Then think about what would happen if more candles were lit. The whole room would cease to be dark and cold.

That is how we should be. Yes, love when it hurts, make sacrifices, etc because by doing so you are helping in your own way to make this world just a little bit warmer and kinder and brighter.

I know its not easy and I know it is not something we can do on our own. That is why we must help each other :).
