Going barefoot
I used to do this years ago... I went out tonight, and I was walking home, thinking about Pandora, when I thought, why don't I do it again? So I took my shoes off and walked home. It felt great :D
Also, it was funny, I got asked twice what I was doing, I said they should try it some time :) I already plan to do it again some time when I go somewhere. Try it, it's a great feeling :D |
lol i dont belive in shoes AT ALL. you should throw all your shoes away and walk around barefoot all the time. also, it makes your feet smell better -serious-
|
It does make you feel much better, just not when walking on hard surfaces or gravel..
They aren't natural surfaces for our feet..not to mention the bits of glass that always seems to be there just waiting for someone to step on it.. I would walk around barefeet like I usually do, even though it's almost winter, but I have a foot injury so I need to wear shoes :( Inside, it's killing me.. |
awwwwwww i hope your foot gets better
|
I would agree with that, adn in a thread i read a while ago i think it was called "get naked its good for your brain" it says that not wearing shoes helps to give you better balance and strengthens the neurons in your brain, it makes you smarter lol, so now i dont wear shoes to uni and the callouses on my feet have become incredibly thick

It will, I'm going to sports physio ;) But when I was going around barefoot, I couldn't wear anything more than sandals since blisters would keep forming. I suppose that's the only drawback of going barefoot all the time ;) |
*hugs back*
oh ok. well i have no problem with sandals, i wear them sometimes too. but during the winter we get alot of snow in colorado, so its nice and soft |
u know, this is a good idea!! maybe i should do it more.. and watch out for the glass :D
|
lol if you walk barefoot enough, your feet become tough as the earth you walk on, and you wont even feel the glass, just see a little bit of red
|
And then it gets infected...
:S |

meh.. infections..... wait that didn't happen to you, did it? |
*shakes head* It could happen to anyone though..I used to know some kids who went everywhere barefoot: the soles on their feet were black, and it wouldn't surprise me if they got infections..
Nothing beats walking barefoot on soft green grass :) |
that last thing: YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Yeah, there were a few times where I had to avoid glass... It's always there :( Actually walking on pavement and road didn't bother me so much though, I guess my feet are still good from when I used to go barefoot more, even though that was years ago (I still probably wouldn't do it for a long walk yet though :P ) |
Thanks HNM *hugs*
That's the same as me, I had really good feet, but the constant walking on concrete pounds your joints which I don't think will be good for anyone in the long term. |
