Hopefully they would be proud of that. I would if my name was Jake. Also, it's worth noting that if they find out who they're named after (Neytiri), and the first thing they think is "oh god no" you've failed as a parent. Even if your little Neytiri doesn't even like Avatar (or the way the Na'vi look), they shouldn't be as shallow as not to notice all of Neytiri's wonderful personality traits.

Wait...why would that be bad? Heck, if I was named Tsu'tey and later found out what that was referenced to, I'd be like "HECK YEAH!!!!!!"...probably. :)

I give it a year or so before people start naming there kids after Avatar(or Halo) characters. Actually, I'd be willing to bet that someone already named their daughter Cortana.
