Trance/House/Electronic/Rave/Techno/Dubstep/Drum & Bass, and everything in between (Ex. Dark Trance, Dream Trance, things like that)

I'm big on the D&B scene myself, particularly liquid D&B and autonomic.

I do like most things electronica though.

The weird thing is, I'm into completely different music, but I kind of understand in a way. The only places I go play metal, but there's a feeling of respect and understanding between many people, even if it's not visible like you described. When we have a circle pit or a wall of death, when someone gets knocked down (happens fairly often) we help them. Even though people do get hurt, if they don't just get back up again then someone will help them up and let them get out of the pit.
It's an amazing feeling, but as Devourment said, it's probably more adrenaline based. Personally, I just can't really understand electronic music, it all sounds too similar for me and I prefer something with vocals and actual instruments rather than just sound effects. I have heard a few electronic songs I don't mind so much, but they have been a lot more relaxed and musical than a lot of electronic music, some of them had actual vocals.

Most of you know that I enjoy different types of music depending on my mood. I have never been much for clubbing, etc. Its probably due to the fact that I don't have any friends who are into it around here and my husband is not. That being said, I love dancing at weddings, etc. I have older tastes so we end up dancing to that. Every wedding I have been to that has had dancing the people laugh and clap their hands when they see others dancing in the most silliest of ways.

It would be interesting to go to a rave sometime. I know that my husband would never go for it though. He likes folk and bluegrass music and prefers acoustic music instead of electric. Me...I'll listen to anything mostly :).

Please do, i'd love to hear it.

There is an event called Glade in this country that I have had my eye on for a couple of years now, it's a camping music festival combining the best of D&B and Electronica with interactive art installations. Sounds like an excellent place to go to. Problem is the price, it's pretty steep.

Ok, how should I contact you? :)

My MSN and ICQ is in my profile page

I just got your PM, thanks for going to the trouble of uploading it for me, I appreciate it a lot.

@ HNM
I have never been to a place with a pit or anything so I guess i didn't really know what it was like. I just kind of naturally assumed that everyone was out to give each other a broken nose and that no one really cared if people got trampled on. Not quite sure what gave me that idea, but thanks for clarifying it a bit anyway. ;)

yea I've been in a mosh before, went with a friend to a heavy metal concert and basically, yea if you're in there you'd better expect to get hurt... not my cup of tea. I'd rather be waving a glowtick around with my light up shirt or Avatar shirt, giving people light shows, or behind the tables playing the music, dancing till I nearly fall down from exhaustion, feeling the beat of the music pulse in my veins and flow through my soul and being surrounded by strobes, lasers, par can lights, and other lighting effects is the way I love to go. Not saying moshes are bad or anything, I don't judge and I can't hate... its relative truth, whats true to you may not be true to me, and thats completely okay :) thats what makes us unique is what we each like and love.

QFT.

You said exactly how I feel about that too...

The closest I ever got to a mosh was at that Pendulum gig. Some people started up this pit-type-thing (although it's really not the music for it). I ended up in there, I elbowed someone in the face by accident and gave them a nosebleed and instantly felt bad about it. I just don't enjoy hurting other people, whether they expect it or not.

But again, like Stanley said, i'm not judging or putting you down or anything... Just saying how I feel.
