Kaltxi everyone,
Recently i have been studying for my final load of exams this month, and it means that, all this suppression of imagination, and the forced concealment of creativity that has been forced upon me can be broken when they are all done and dusted. During the holidays, of which i shall be free, i'm planning to let all my creativity out, painting and sketching, thinking up ideas for fictions and what not, basically letting my mind escape after all that testing has chained it to the back of my thinking.

I cannot literally wait, to be able to doodle, draw and sketch without the conscience of spending a couple of minutes doing my own thing, when really i am called to study like theres no tommorow.

Same here! And I completely mean it.

It's abusive the time final exams demand you; I'd like to write or draw but there are like 10 exams for the next 5 weeks to be done, and this means I can't fill even a single page unless I do so while the teachers explain.

At least you're right on the vacation thing, only then you can be free from school.

Now you have to keep going on, this is the last sprint until you reach the finish line.

10 exams in five weeks? That really sucks!!! I only have one final at a time and they stress me out enough!!

I am free of my Operations Management class and patiently awaiting the start of my Marketing class. Business is soooo fun *yawn*

The week off is welcome, but not long enough...

Keep your heads up aysmukan. It will all be over before you know it.

(Assuming the posters above me are from America, except for Cyan) What level of education are ye in? High school? College?

The equivalent of high school here is Secondary school. On the first week of June I'll be getting 7 exams in four days. :(

I am currently in grad school. Sitting at 18 credits out of 36. My undergrad is in business administration and I have an AS degree in information technology/computer networking systems.

What sucks for me is that I'm not sure I want to even be doing what I'm currently doing six years into my career.

Ugh Im doing exams also, tonight will be a massive study session for two exams I have tomorrow. I really want to do good on them and need to do good on one. Though I have to stop my mind from wandering into all the different directions, it seems this semester more than any other my mind has not stayed put, there are far to many things my mind wants to drift off towards. Cant wait till friday when this semester is done and Im hopefully finished with these classes and dont need to take them again.

Thankfully, I don't get nightmares about finals very much any more. I actually think I developed a case of post traumatic stress from semester finals in college. That's because I got pretty good at cramming, and I was already good at procrastinating. So my endgame was very, very tense. I still wake up sometimes with that gnawing feeling in my gut, and my guilt at having skipped so much class. And that was a rather long, long time ago in a state far, far away. ;)

Hang in there Cyan (and the rest of you studious types)!

I'm willing to bet that Avatar is one of those distractions lol

Good luck Cyan!
Can't wait to see what you come up with afterwards :)

Gunny 05-11-2010 11:24 PM

You would be correct in that statement :D Im actually listening to the OST while studying XD

I had final exams last week....I turned off all Skype notifications, didn't check IRC, stayed off the forums and just studied. It was horrible. Now that they are over it's nice to be on summer vacation so I can def. relate to what you are saying.

Fkeu'itan 05-11-2010 11:56 PM

Three simple words Cyan... Oel. Ngati. Kameie.

I too absolutely cannot wait for the next 6 months, being able to let creativity flow completely, although most likely into the Avatar channel. ;)

Good luck Cyan, just fight through it for now, and look forward to when school is over (eventually, for good!), and you can lead the life you want to be living. :)

I remember when I studied for tests, finals, exams and other things. This is my last year of high school and seniors don't have to take finals this year so school for me has been practically over for the last month.

I hope that the exams are not to difficult for you and that you pass with flying colors.

Petrucho 05-12-2010 03:16 AM

This month is completely full with tests ... i have 25 tests + 2 projects in 20 days, and im trying to organize my time a lot ... otherwise my grades at school will fall as hard as Quaritch ship :P
