anger
people get so angry. if you don't do something, they yell at you. i wonder why cause it doesn't get it done. if you don't do it fast enough, they act like the world will end if it isn't finished bu the deadline. if you do something wrong, you get yelled at. but that doesn't fix the problem.people get angry just because you don't think the same way as them. they get angry at you for something that they get angry at you for the single reason of not wanting to fault themselves..
the world needs to calm down. |
Oh, interesting thread. In fact it sometimes look like some people get angry in the collective(for example work, school) just because they want to look better than you. It brings attention away from them and aims to you. Than the person earns positive reactions from others and you are the bad one:(

This especially goes for driving... when I drive I'm chill, laid back... I roll down the windows, crank some music, and just take my time to work... people though tailgate me even if I'm going 10+mph over the speed limit... I've gotten cussed at for doing things like stopping at a stop sign first, started going and the other driver who didn't have his blinker on started to go after I started going, stopped and yelled, "what the f*** are you doing!?"
Also work too... people are so unappreciative of the work I do get done, but if i mess up on one thing I get it |

People who get pissed off over insignificant things amuse me to no end.
I remember a few weeks ago I was at some social function and some woman flat out screamed at me because I took food from a buffet because apparently since I'm a teenager I should wait until adults get their food. I've never heard of anything like this, so I was like, "Sorry, I didn't know," and she just kept yelling at me. She was from the deep south, maybe they have some tradition I don't know about, but I was like wut. Also people who get pissed off on the internet over anything crack me up. |
that must have been weird...

It is sad that so many people get angry over the smallest of things. I don't think that people think about their reactions before they explode. It is endemic in our society though. It might have to do with our increased isolation from each other and lack of connection. So many people are absorbed in their own lives that if there is some disturbance, they can't handle it. This is why we all need to love more and to not allow small inconveniences disturb us.
I know that I have a problem with anger sometimes. Fortunately it flares up and dies away quickly. Often it is the result of frustration or pain and not true anger. There are different types of anger too. In fact, there is a good type of anger that hates injustice and evil. This sort of anger enables someone to fight evil and injustice. This is the sort of anger that is tempered with love. There is a type of anger that is tempered with hate. This is the type of anger that I see popping up more and more in some sectors of our society and this is the type that I fear the most. It leads to a blind hatred of the other and in the process dehumanizes them and sees them as nothing more than trash, to be discarded. It is the sort of hatred that some of the Nazis had. It is the sort that one finds in some terrorists. The most stupid kind of anger is the sort that gets mad at the little stuff. Again, this could be due to frustration, lack of sleep, hunger, or just being plain cranky. The sort of anger in which someone snaps for no reason is a product of underlying situations that the person has kept bottled in. Never bottle in anger. Let it out little by little otherwise it will be like a volcano, erupts all at once. |
I'm afraid of myself when I'm angry, and that someday I might do something horrible because I'm not in control of myself. I can only hope that it'll never come to the situation when I snap and do something unthinkable. I'd want to be calm and collected, but I can't seem to change the fact that I'm quick tempered. Life is too stressful and I can't do anything about it, because it's not up to me.

One tip. If your anger ever gets to the point you are close to that snapping point, immediately physically remove yourself from the situation. |
I use this method sometimes. Einstein had the right idea
If A were success, it would be A = X + Y + Z With X being Work, Y play, and Z shut the hell up ~Einstein We can't fix stupid, but I think we should adapt alittle to the way of a solider. Endure and move on, shrug it off and forget about. Keep your head even when your about to lose it. |
Z = shut up in the right areas ;) Not all of them! :D This time and place is way different from back then.
We're starting a new position right now and I can see it moving its tracks slowly but surely. :) |

I try harder to keep my anger under control. Very rarely do I yell at someone about anything. Because usually the thing that we are angry over isn't worth the pain, and hurt feelings to yell and loose control over. |
I sometimes have anger issues. I don't really get angry at people. I get angry at stupid/stressful circumstances, at things(not people) that don't work right. *coughelectronicscough*
I also can get quite angry when I play video games. Yeah, I know it's stupid and lame, but that's why I almost never play them anymore. I can get perturbed when driving, but I don't cuss people out or yell or anything. |

I personally have a very volatile nature.. and unfortunately it has resulted in quite a bit of destruction on my part.. either physically or mentally. Trouble is, it can be caused by simple things, such as a typical argument or people just crossing my paths with ill-intentions or simply unknowingly. However, as I read more books/articles/other material and ponder, I'm resolving to keep that temperament in check.. although I know its very arduous.. I think I'll get the better of it one day..
There's just too much to risk throwing away in a moment of enragement.. |
