Despite a desire to shoot Avatar at 48 frames per second, it was shot at the motion picture standard of 24 fps.

I'd definitely have to go with the "I see you" scene where she's holding Jake and he reaches up to stroke her face. Such a beautiful moment.

I'm actually starting to get a trembly lip just looking at it...

I know....that scene is just beautiful. One of the many scenes where I totally lose it and cry. I just love that scene.

For me the strongest scene at all. I started crying at this one, the most beautifull and devoted love expression I have ever seen in any movie.

I just absolutely love the feeling of complete and utter transparancy and understanding in that scene. Everything about it is just perfect. Almost as if the very definition of love and connectedness itself is distilled into that one breif but endlessly powerful moment.

I just love it.

It presented true "spiritual" love. No physical bariers, they were alien beings to each other in this moment, but their mental connection was so strong ... I wish to feel such connection with someone, but if you look around you ... this is so rare :(. That's probably one of the reasons why I love this scene so so much.

It used to be when Neytiri was tearing up at Jake in the "I see you" scene, but after watching it a couple more times,

I've finally come to the conclusion on my most favorite shot that sums up all my feelings about the entire film as a whole:

It is a question that is impossible to answer. It's like asking what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object. I can't pick just one.

I will have to spend a hundred hours researching the issue with my DVD player. I still will not be able to pick just one when I'm done.

I see. You have a good point. I thought it would be a bit fun to have that particular conflict, but I can understand what you suggest. Perhaps if the challenge was expanded to the top 5.....(as long as the images shared weren't all Hi Def! I can see quoted posts making this thread take way too much time to load!! ;) )

Wow! I don't think I've seen this (exact) framecap before. It still amazes me that it's really Zoe under there. Look at how complex and wonderful that facial expression is, full of wonder and excitement and happiness! That made me smile, what amazing talent on the part of everybody involved in Avatar....

I swear it's not even like she's acting... its like she's being Neytiri... She is Neytiri!
